i am so close but tired, sick and depressed. i think of quiting daily and i have no desire to work or accomplish something. all i think about is running away, i hate my life and most of all people around me. i couldn't run. i can't. i am too scared to face the real world. all i can say is that i ruined my life with m own hands.
i didn't revise or do homework for weeks n even if i do i remember nothing. my mind goes blank. i feel so sad. i am no longer comfortable at school, i can't focus i don't want to attend classes. what can i do?

First of all, it's really good that you know that you have no option but to face it. Coincidentally, I'm actually going the exact same thing you're going through. sure, I may not be a professional at giving advice, but I sure do know how to help you with your struggles in life.

Recently, I actually felt very uncomfortable in school and just wanted to give up everything. But what I decided to do was talk to the school counselor. Doing this will most likely give you comfort because now you know that someone understands your struggles and can help you (trust me, it gave me a lot of comfort when i talked to my counselor).

In those phases of life, it is a battle between Confidence and Stress. Ask yourself, "what helps me gain confidence?" and once you find out the answer, try to gain as much confidence as you possibly can. One common way of removing stress is simply Exercise! Exercising will keep your body healthy and keep your thinking positive, which is what you need.

Another important thing you should do is Socialize! Socializing is as good as exercising but even better. If you don't have many friends, you should join a club and talk to the people around you. For example, if you like playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, try to talk to people who also like to play that game because you can easily communicate.

This is your life and your body. do you really want to give it up just because you're depressed? Go out there and make yourself a better person. Sure, we all struggle with depression, but most people choose to fight that struggle and just be happy with who they are, so why shouldn't you?

I really hope i helped. Tell me what happens when you decide to talk to the school counselor. And since I seem to be going through what you're going, we can possibly be good friends you're not the only one out there, but it's you who has to take action and make good friends.

I felt the same way when I was trying to take too many classes at the same time plus work full time. Depression also makes me have trouble doing homework and remember stuff. If you need to, take a break. If possible slow by taking fewer classes at a time. Talk to your professors (although some professors are unkind, many are quite sympathetic). I understand what you are going through. Courage! You can make it.

I agree with the folks who have already posted! They said things better than I can. I hope you will see a school counselor soon. You do sound depressed.
Thanks for this!

Hey,
Now I don't know what grade your
in or how old you are, but it sounds
like your in high school?
All I can suggest is to talk to
your school counselor
Talk to your parents
Go seek therapy that's geared
toward youth issues you might
have some stuff going on I think
I may have some idea but I'm not
a trained therapist.
Now, its not a good idea to quit school.
You need school & I'm real serious about that
If you want to be successful & you have that
potential you need school, its just going rough
for you that's all & there are some underlying issues
Based on the few lines you wrote tells me without a
doubt that's what it is.
I know I've been there, its just like reading something
out of my own years as a youngster.
Don't give up! Reach out and talk about whats
going on, say just what you said on here don't leave
anything out.
But don't go through this alone please cause it will
definitely spread to worse things like a bad virus.
Let us know how your doing.
But remember:
Stay put don't run anywhere, it sucks out in the World!
Go talk to a school counselor, tell them you want to do well
in school & you need help.
Seek out some form of therapy geared towards...teens? (I think your in your teens)
Stay in school.
You can do it my friend.
Don't give up now.
Thanks for this!

Hang in there, watevs.

You may need to take a break from school if graduation is not immediate and you have one or more semesters left.

But try to remember some of your blessings in life too. We all have them. And try to imagine how things could be worse. Also, try to give yourself some credit too. You had a choice never to go to college but you decided to anyways and that shows something good on your part.

Hell watevs, just wanted offer a bit of support, not professional advise by any means. But I am returning to school at the age of 50. I feel exactly like you described in your post. I feel like I want to run away, afraid to face the world...really really alone. And yet, I made it through several successful years in the military and felt very brave and I know I am not a coward.

I know you are not a coward...but you do sound depressed, seriously. I would also check into meds while setting up the counselor thing.

But remember most importantly, keep posting when you need to. That is why we are here. Sending you a big safe cyber hug.

Just wanted to chime in, let you know I understand how you feel. Soon after classes start (I'm signed up for the fall semester, which is a few months away, but it'll get here soon enough!), I know I'll be feeling like you. Overwhelmed and wanting to quit. But we can do this! Know you're not alone, and I agree with those suggesting talking to a counselor.
