1980's Bratpackers welcome! J/K!

I recently made this a habit but i still slip up. Its not because oh its the most impotsnt meal of the day, blah blah blah - there are a lot of reasons. And i just do better if i take care of mysrlf this way. Even if its just some juice and a slice of bread.

Breakfast has always been a huge struggle for me! Usually my 'go to' breakfast is a bottle of Diet Coke. I should work on changing this...

I went years skipping breakfast because I'm just not hungry in the morning. Just give a cup (or 2, or 3...) of coffee and I was good to go. But years of anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds packed on the pounds and I had to do something.
I started to track everything I ate with a free phone app. Still nothing would come off.
About 2 years ago I started to drink protein drinks, and about 5 months ago I changed to smoothies that I make every morning. I've lost 20 lbs in 5 months. Slow going, but it's something, and it's been easy to stick with so far.

I had the prettiest breakfast this morning! Yellow grape tomatoes sliced in half, a sliced green kiwi, some sliced almonds, and some farmers cheese. It tasted good too!

I used to just have coffee for breakfast. But now; oats, yogurt, dried fruit and fresh fruit, just a small bowl, I really don't feel much like eating at 6.30.

I really like Dutch breakfasts; cold meats, cheese, rye bread. I might make a miniature one of these next.

I know - sometimes i have left over roast chicken for breakfast. The other day i had a denny's pancake doggy bag - i had already eaten the two strips of turkey bacon, so i heated up some turkey meatballs! Just a variation on chicken and waffles, right?

I'm trying to figure out a breakfast that has enough protein to sustain me at the gym. I haven't been getting enough and have fainted twice after training. SCARY.

Most everything breakfast related makes me want to gag. So still working on it...

I'm a big believer in breakfast. I get cranky without it. 2 scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and fruit, and 4 cups of iced coffee.

I was eating home made bacon and eggs, sausage burritos, and egg ham muffins every morning forever....you can tell! Lol

My new breakfast habit is a bowl of 1 minute oatmeal microwaved with a scoop of fruit preserves and a handful of raisins added. Every now and then I'll squirt some maple syrup for sweet fun. I have several jars of different kinds of fruit preserves in the fridge so that it doesn't get old.

For the price, taste, and healthiness, I've found my new morning chew to go with my pot of coffee.

Every morning I drink 16 ounces of milk and eat a banana. Works for me.

Yeah im back to my minute oats too! I stir in sliced almonds and either dried cherries or blueberries and top with plain yogurt. Sometimes i put in coconut oil and himalayan salt that smells like eggs its just so good.

When I'm at college and don't want to wake the neighbors with my blender at 8am before classes, I eat whatever's most convenient. Usually that's a packet of instant oatmeal (maple brown sugar) or leftovers of whatever I might have cooked the previous evening. When I'm desperate and out of oatmeal, I'll either starve until lunch or break out a can of soup.

When I'm at home, there are two possibilities: Either I am forced out of bed at 6am to eat a turkey patty and a bowl of fruit (which my mother oh so graciously prepares for me so I'm literally not allowed to complain) or I sleep in and won't eat again until she gets home. Or if there's some pasta dish in the refrigerator or a box of crackers I'll eat that for lunch.

I'm so lazy when it comes to food it's not even funny.

My more immediate concern is eating lunch every day. But that's for another thread.

Lol, when I was in my early twenties, I'd cook a box of hamburger helper for dinner, then eat it for breakfast and lunch the next day. I would then cook a different flavor of HH that evening and for the next day. It helped cut down on dishes and having nothing to eat!
Thanks for this!

Breakfast scares me but I'm trying. Today I am going to have yogurt for breakfast. Normally I just have coffee and eat later in the day. Food is a problem for me.

I love this thread! Lots of good ideas here. This morning I made eggs scrambled with chopped fresh spinach (added toward the end so it just wilts a little) with fresh salsa and a little sour cream. It's also really good with shredded cheese-you can use just a little parmesan for a lot of flavor to cut down on fat.

I like having a bowl of fortified cereal with soy milk, nuts and seeds (flaxseeds, chia).

As a vegan that's the only B12 source I can find, so it's very important for me. I love breakfast!

Nice movie btw.

Sliced or smashed avocado, smoked salmon and a fried egg on a slice of seeded wholegrain toast, a small bowl of blueberries. Hooray!

Gluten free cereal, skim milk, fresh fruit. Good days.
Eggs Benedict. Bad days.
