I reached my six month mark of no si today...

Had mixed feelings and a lot of urges.

Do you all find that sometimes doing well makes you want to cut again? I'm not giving in, but I have recognized that it makes the urge increase knowing i have gone 6 months.

Six Months...

Congrats on the six months! Yes, I find that such 'celebrations' do make the urges stronger. I don't quite know why Six Months.... I think maybe you should give yourself a special treat today - something that will not feed the SI urges but will make you feel special and loved Six Months.... That way, you will feel better about yourself and your achievement Six Months...

Six Months... Yea, Angela!!! That is so great that you reached six months! I am so proud of you. I know it wasn't easy, especially with all the stuff that you had to deal with in those six months.
Six Months...

And, yeah, I know what you mean about after it's been so long, wanting to do it. After a while, I just miss it. Is that what it's like for you? I hope that goes away, and eventually it isn't a temptation anymore.

Love,
Wendy

Thank you for the support everyone! Six Months...

I asked my T for her take on why the urges have increased.

Wendy, I do think that "missing it" contributes, but I think there might be more to it.

Thanks again all! Six Months...

I'm doing my little "Yippe Skippie" dance over here for ya. I'm proud of you sweetie. I think that you're absolutely right about missing it. When I'm doing well and haven't SI'd for a while, I find myself wanting it just for the plain hell of it. Keep on keepin' on hun. You're doing great.

Well I had a phone session today with T and we didn't even get to the subject of si, because we ended up arguing about me being defensive. Six Months...

She said she will give me her input on it in next week's email, so that will have to wait until I email her again. Six Months... I'll let y'all know what she says.

Thanks for the support everyone!
