I am stuck in a huge rut at the moment.

Nothing seems to be working.

My partner is getting a massive pay cut, i have to have surgery next week, we have 3 weeks to move out of our house.
I have been trying so hard to avoid alcohol - have been sober for 4 days.

But the cutting isnt stopping or slowing down.
its getting worse.

I just wish i wasnt here anymore.

Making it worse...

Someone very close to me tried to commit suicide the other day.
I really want to help, and he wants me to be there for him, but his family wont let me talk to him because they think i am a bad influence.
His family all live in a different country to him but he cant leave because of fines. Im all he has.

what makes it even worse is that i completely agree with his family.

i dont want to be around him for HIS sake.

What have i got to live for?

I know there are some things to live for....but right now i cant think of any

First of, Congradualtions on 4 days of being sober. That can help you to think more clearly.

Second, There are many reasons to life for, and you just have tofind those. Here's a few things that I can think of. Your family, your friends Even if his family wont let you see him they may come around, your surgery so that you can heal afterwards, your partner. For all those that you can help after you have gone through this. For all of us here at PC. YOU CAN GET BETTER> And you will. If you need more strenght read my signature.

Just rememeber Don't Quit, or else you'll be more in debt, and more finacial problems left for you family. You can get through this. One Minute at a time if you have to. Remember don't quit on us. We can help you get thorught this.
Thanks for this!

Addi, these are really stressful things. I'm sorry that you are having to deal with all of them. I like Puzzclar's post a lot. Can you focus on some more positive things right now? Does it help to talk about the stressors? (Does it relieve some of the stress by talking about them?)

Then when ever you need to get things out. Post them on here. I think that will help you in the end anyway. Good luck, and keep us posted on how you are doing.
