I'm an si-er. I haven't done it for over a year. It has been hard at times.
I got put on a new med, symbyax. I'm not sure if the med is affecting my thinking but I'm depressed. I feel like I am ugly/hateful, and I want to cut or burn. In the past I either reach for a razor or a bottle. I'm scared I'll start going back to either one, or worse both, of these soon. I go to a counselor weekly and I know I don't need hospitialization. I just dont want to feel this way anymore. Anyone have any info., sites, or ways to help cope with these overwhelming feelings. I am so down on myself...

((((((((((((((((((((((cherrygash321)))))))))))))))))))) Please get hold of the Dr. that prescribed symbyax. They need to know how you are feeling to help you effectively. Meds work differently for different people so it is very important to call them.
I am so glad you reached out. That can be so hard when you are feeling bad. Maybe you can call your counselor too? They can help you find other ways to cope. Please take care of you. ![]() ![]() BB

thanks, i see my therapist tomorrow. ive been having urges on and off for a few weeks. some days are better, some worse. although i did just start a new medication, symbyax. i see my psychiatrist in about a week. i hate med changes. but i don't know if this mood is from the med change, hormones, or just normal ups and downs. its confusing. i get so frustrated, i hate feeling this way.

My therapist said I'm the most depressed client she has that's not in a hospital or group home. She said not to mean it as a bad thing but for me to think of myself as resilient. That i'm still fighting, even if its not hard core most of the time.
She let me know i need more than just her. I need to go and try a place that has groups and other things i can participate in. im going, its just hard to get up the energy to get myself ready then drive an hour to get there. Still have had urges. i haven't cut yet. i hope i don't. i started smoking again. i guess its better than cutting.
