I started cutting 2 weeks ago. I only cut twice on my finger. Then I stopped for eight days. Now I can't seem to stop. I cut my fingers so much I can't hide it that well anymore. Now I cut at the top of my arm. I tired the rubber band around my wrist and that didn't work. I've also tried the ice cube and that didn't work. Anyone know any other way to stop cutting?!

Here are some suggestions
-Exercise, this gives you a good feeling without you having to hurt yourself -Journaling, a good way to release thoughts

It is really hard. I've been fighting urges for 2 days now. l distract myself for a while then they come back. It's like feeding a parasite though, the more you feed it by SI the bigger and more powerful it grows. You need to starve it to get rid of it, to not give in to its requests for SI. The longer you resist, eventually it will become easier to resist. Can you just notice how you are feeling? Where do you notice the urges? What do they feel like? Do you notice them everywhere in your body? Just certain places? Keep safe. Soup.
