Am I crazy for cutting myself over losing my boyfriend? well, he was more than just a boyfriend...I dont know anymore, its been 6 months now, and still just as miserable as ever. We really cared for each other and he was the best part of my world. i cant get over it. I miss his smile, i miss his presence, i miss hearing his voice, i miss his love, and i miss life. I dont cut as much as I used to but I still do it. The thing is, I want to ask... Am I a bad person for not wanting to stop cutting? I dont want to stop. It really does take the mental pain away, not to mention brings me back into reality for a few minutes anyways. I feel so unreal, and I havent been living much of a life at all in the last 6 months. All I keep doing is continuously spiraling downhill in this cold, dark and lonely world, with nobody to help.

Many thoughts are with you. PLEASE be careful. Cutting is a coping mechanism. While some people have a bad day, they relieve it with a hot shower, or a night out, others cut. It does NOT in anyway make you a bad person. The feelings that some get from going out dancing is the same "escape" that we get from cutting.
Best of luck and many hugs,
Christine

Oh ally sweetie, ((((((ally))))). You're not bad. We SI to feel better when there seems to be no other relief. Please be careful and don't cut to much or too deep. You will get through this, I promise. PM me if you wish, I'll be there for you, I understand where you're at.

Nope. Different reasons for different people, and I'd imagine that it would be hard to deal with emotionally. I'm sorry.

Nope. We're all on our own journey, with our own lives. Nobody else's opinion of your stuff and your life is as important as your own. You don't have to want to quit right now, just be open to the possibility that you might want to quit later in life.
