There's the "HALT" thing, too. Never get too hungry, angry, lonely, or tired. I can say it, but my track record is to overdo all of the above. How do you take care of yourself so that you don't get hungry, angry, lonely, and tired, and then collapse into a heap?
One thing I've been doing well is to take my water bottle with me every day. I put water or herb tea in the bottle, half full, and freeze it, then add more water or herb tea in the morning. Then I drink enough water (which is progress). But if I don't go anywhere, I neglect my water bottle and might not even drink anything. It's really only part of my routine when I'm out of the house. I should do it at home, too.
