I get urges that spring up from out of the void too, they’re real nasty and I come so close to giving in sometimes. But a lot of people here on this forum are here for you and don’t want the urges to force you to suffer, I can’t say I know exactly what’s going through your head because it varies for everyone, but I know those urges are like a crocodile lurking by human visitors; the more you feed them, give them what they want, the more they’ll keep coming back.
Check out this cool little geocache I found, her name is smiley and I’m just posting a pic because I just like looking at this enthusiastic piece of plastic when my whole brain feels like it’s in fire. It doesn’t put it out, but it’s a slight help in holding out through the storm

HUGS @willowtigger

I know that urges are hard. I get them a lot too. But the less we give into them, the less power they have over us. The more we feed our well being the less the urges become in our lives. What is something nice that you can do for yourself today instead of giving into urges? Even if it is watching funny you tube videos. Take a warm shower. Put on some nice lotion on your hands and arms. Do a progressive muscle relaxation. Or a meditation. You can find tons on You Tube. Make yourself a grilled cheese sandwich, cut it in fourths and enjoy! Get a smoothie. These are just top of my head ideas. I am sure you can come up with more or better ones. Take care of yourself. Try not to hurt yourself if you can. If you give in, it's okay. We all relapse at times. But try to feed your self worth and your self esteem and be healthy. Sending you hugs and kitty cat meows Kit

No one on the forums especially the admins are our to get you. Everyone is nice here and it is a safe space. You don't need to hurt yourself in order to be safe. Try to do some deep breathing. Breathe in for a count of four. Hold for a count of four. Breathe out for a count of four. Hold for a count of four. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. HUGS Kit
