This is primarily for the ladies on the board, but I would love to have the gentlemen chime in.

About myself: I am undergoing a divorce which is very painful for me, as I brought it on myself, destroying my ex-husband's life recklessly and consistently and then found myself weeping and grieving the loss. If I could, I would have sex with him, but it is not an option. I last had sex with him three years ago. Since then, I have been on psychiatric medications that killed both desire and ability to orgasm. Prior to starting these particular medications, I was multi-orgasmic. I came "at the hands" - of my partner or, less interestingly, myself. I could not come from oral sex, but I probably just lacked skillful applications. I also experienced what I called "empathetic orgasm" during intercourse or fellatio - a build-up of passion inside me in response to my partner's coming, and a pleasant release timed together with his. I really enjoyed it. I also had the most peculiar orgasms which I called "effortless, touchless orgasms", and the only person who ever described anything similar was my mother. Like me, she was bipolar, so I am thinking that perhaps it is a "bipolar orgasm". It is a sensation that lasts a split second, occuring somewhere in the torso. Sometimes it is more "erogenous zone"-related - it may "enter" the body from the vagina and "exit" from the nipples or vice versa, and sometimes it is just at random places within the torso. It is intensely pleasurable. Like nothing else. It is therefore very hard to describe. What produces this sensation is simple thought, fantasy, daydreaming, recollection of past sex or a an idea of future sex, from very gentle to hardcore. For me, it is just with actual people I know.

Gotta go to work now, will describe it in more detail letter, suffice it to say that probably thanks to prozac but my drive and these fluttering orgasms returned a couple of months ago. I still cannot come for real from masturbation, which is a shame, but I have the gift of these effortless orgasms.

I am very curious as to what kind of orgasms you ladies experience. Anything along the lines of mine? I am also curious as to the oral experience - how did you feel your first oral orgasm, was it "much work" or a breeze, is it stronger/weaker/different vis-a-vis hands?

Speaking for myself and only knowing...well, myself ...I think it's best described by the following comparison.

what kind of ORGASMS do you experience?

Im a 25 yr old female and not sexually active. I was active when I was 21-23 yr old with my boyfriend at the time. The strongest and best orgasms was from sensual and gentle real life sex. I guess it has to do with the emotions around actually being with a person. oral is second best, but only if the guy is skilled masturbation is nice and I can achieve orgasm rather quickly. With oral sex or masturbation, the orgasm is better with either a finger or toy "up there" so that the walls of the vagina have something to squeeze against.

THE MEDS KILLED MY SEXLIFE. But I do recall what it used to be like. I explain it like a huge sneeze. First a little tingle, you know it's gonna happen, wait you think it's gonna happen, no doubt about it, It builds and builds them wow. What power. Yes it did happen.

Sex is often like chocolate. Will a hurshey's kiss do. Just a little to tide you over. or do you need the whole jumbo candybar to enjoy. The one that takes a long time.

As for oral. I've told my H it's a good thing you are willing to do that because I love it and If a man didn't do that he better have some really good talent elsewhere. Because for me anyway oral sex cunninglingis is the best gift God ever made.

Though I am not a fan of returning the favor guys. (abuse issues)

Now that I have ZERO sexdrive, I explained it to my hubby that it's kinda like picking your nose. Hole, insert object, Job complete, remove object. Getting that evil boogie is a good feeling I guess. So is sex. It's a good feeling I guess, certinly no as described like a sneeze. Picking your nose is not as messy, no risk of little ones, why not go for a pick.

Personally I have a hardtime achieving an orgasm from just Intercourse with my husband. Now if he gets me almost there by going down on me (which he is VERY gifted at) Then I will orgasm through sex. Most of the time though during foreplay I get myself there through masturbation as he focuses on other areas so to speak then we usually have no problem climaxing together.

Climaxing together is the best feeling that a human can experience in my opinion. Thats what happened after just a few minutes lol the very first time that I had sex. it wasnt something that we had planned and it "just happened" while we were in bed after making out for a long time. I think thats another secret to a good and easy orgasm-lots of foreplay and it needs to be natural and not something "planned"
Thanks for this!

I'm incredibly sensitive & multi-orgasmic. I can pretty much orgasm from anything as long as it's with a partner -- It's not as exciting when I'm alone. Oral, finger, penetrative, & "empathetic" stimulation all result similarly for me. Very quickly, too. It can take anywhere from 3 minutes to 15 seconds. XD

Lucky you! Thanks for answering. You do not climax from thoughts about your partner though, do you?

If I'm masturbating, yeah, but not out of nowhere really. Though thoughts can bring me to a point where I can't stand it & have to take care of it somehow. Hahahaha

If I knew the magic behind my success, I would reveal it to the world! It would be a much more peaceful planet if we all could take out some tension so quickly. Lmao :P

My different ones are mostly about pre and post-meds.

Pre meds, it was intense. It was mental and physical release. For me the act of ejaculating is a big part of it. I can't imagine feeling the same sensation of release without it.

With meds it was nothing but mild release. Pretty tame.

Now I'm on cymbalta and I feel it is starting to come back. I am feeling some of the pre-meds shudders that I had, and definitely am ejaculating a lot more than when I was on meds. I am also experiencing a feeling of peace and euphoria afterwards that I haven't had before.
