So I did it. I finally created a profile an signed up to get maybe with women. Funny that as I go brought my matches I am more confident in what I like and don't like in a woman's looks. When I had guy matches I would tend I say o myself, well, I guess he's cute or maybe I should meet him and see how it goes. I think I might know what I want in a woman more than a man. Who knows...Big step though- wish me luck!

Okay well it's not a soles lesbian site, but It has an tion. I used to be on that same site for men recently....and now I'm trying to see if I am bi or gay (I am at least bi). Here is the thing....some of the guys are now all confused as to why I changed my profile. It's hard to explain. I simply told him I am bi and I want to open my search. However if he isn't comfortable with it, that's understandable. And he should just let me know.
Now I just feel like maybe I should tell all the guys who I was talking to and still somewhat am, just I case they have the same questions. Here I thought I was taking a good step, but now Idk. And....no one has even viewed my profile. I guess no one even wants to message me ![]() |

Oh, this is a fun thread! I just did this transition and opening up a few years ago and it's been wonderful. One thing to note about online dating though is that men and women are different. You'll probably get fewer views and messages from women than from men because of how we tend to play out our gender roles. Men are more likely to initiate contact, which means less initiating when you're just dating women. Don't be discouraged - women are worth the extra effort. Oh, and fyi, okcupid.com is very queer friendly and free. There's an option in the signup to hide from straight people. Sometimes that's a nice thing.

i have been on dating sites in the past. when i was single, i was only looking for women. then i ended up meeting my bf falling madly in love with him and we have been together now 7 yrs. i did have a gf my 1st one in 09 (yea an open relationship) only lasted 2 mos (long story).
the women i have met on dating sites are so damn picky, *****y, and not worth the time/drama! i would email girls who loved video games, art, etc like me and they ended up being very rude to me. i figured if i email them, we have something in common whether you were my type or not. i have changed my ads on those sites multiple times to express positivity and kindness while being st8 forward and honest. omg, had so much drama. why is it when u meet someone who has similar interests as you they are mean as hell? it took me 10 yrs to get a gf because i couldnt find any worthwhile when i was 18-19 yrs old it wasnt like i met my bf a man is easier to find wasnt like that. well, i hope you find what you are looking for best of luck! |
