Hi,
I don't normally put a lot of weight into the meaning of my dreams, but the last two nights in a row I've had very specific and unnerving dreams that feel worthy of exploring. Both nights I've dreamt of giving birth to a tiny, weak, sickly baby. In the dreams, I am a careless mother - often forgetting about it, holding it incorrectly, leaving it places by accident, etc. But in the moments that I do remember to care about the baby, I am overcome with guilt, try to overcompensate, and even accidentally injure the baby in my zeal to take care of it. I have had these dreams before, I think, but I can't remember details. I do not have children and do not desire to have one. I have a genetic bleeding disorder which makes pregnancy risky for me and my husband is not interested in children either. I was abandoned by my mother as a child which I feel is likely relevant. I'm having one of those moments where the interpretation seems to be on the tip of my tongue, but I can't quite grasp it. Any thoughts? Edit: I'm open to the possibility that the meaning of this dream has nothing to do with babies at all. Any idea what other stuff a baby might represent in this context? The dream may be about attempting to take care of yourself. Being abandoned, may reflect how you feel about yourself in the dream.

I don't know anything about Dream interpretation but your analysis sounds relevant and as likely as anything I could think of. I'm so sorry for all you went through with your mom, and the disturbing dreams you are having.
I used to have reoccurring dreams when I was younger about protecting babies from a perpetrator. I would grab them and hide in closets, behind cars and other hiding spots with them, trying to keep them protected and calm. I never saw the face of the perpetrator, but still remember vividly the terror and fear when it was close to me and the person I was trying to protect. They were very disturbing. I hope you get the answers you seek and that the dreams and pains of your past lose the power they have on you. (((Hugs))) |

I dont know how to interpret others dreams, but here"s my interpretation for you! Maybe there is a part of yourself or your life that you doubt and are not confident about. It sounds like, in the dream, you care, but keep messing up, and it's disturbing you. Maybe you fear failure?
