Spoke to a few friends who called. Walked and chatted with someone along the trail at the dog park. I ate mesclun salad, aided by apples, roasted almonds and gorgonzola. It takes a lot of sugar and fat to make veggies palatable to me.
Thanks for this!

So far this week I have only spent about $20 on groceries. I'm trying to keep my grocery expense down so my wife and I can enjoy a "nice" dinner when we go out on "Cheap Eats Date Night".

Cooked another healthy dinner for my kids and they loved it! This is a huge accomplishment for me because I hate cooking, I'm tired every day after work and I have no one to help.

Went to breakfast and then to a movie today. Normally, this is not something I would label as an "accomplishment" but I was pretty down today and the alternative would have been to stay home and mope. I'm trying not to spend a lot of money but for about $20 I was able to distract myself in a positive way. Sometimes not doing something bad is an accomplishment in and of itself.

So it turns out craigslist missed connections page really does work. Today I managed to do just about nothing and take care of a kid (which I know really does count for something). I talked for just a minute with a parent who needs childcare. I did not call and harass my realtor about the status of the house.

Great job everyone!

Over the last couple of days I've run a bunch of errands, taken care of some fiddly tasks at work and completed the final piece of accounting paperwork for our corporate taxes. Inbetween I've also been on some great hikes with my dogs and last night I watched a beautiful sunset with my dogs and my husband!

I had an annual physical exam (including tetanus shot. Ouch). Finished making the body for a doll in prep for my workshop. Played with fabric embellishment (the fun part). Walked my dog along the river and meadows, and chatted with other dog owners along the way. Sherman had 4 sticks in his mouth, a record.

I forgot: Last evening, a friend with a discount coupon invited me to dinner at a gourmet restaurant. It was amazing food. I never spend money on restaurants (or much of anything) so it was a major treat!

Cleaned house and then went to a Christian bookstore where I spent $30. Last night I took myself to the ER for a psych eval, they didn't want me so I came home.

Everyone is awesome with their do-rights!!!!

Went to a friends' house last night for a meal with them and some other friends and I enjoyed myself and didn't come away feeling like a screw-up, which I sometimes do, especially if I start comparing myself with others. This morning I did a lot of cleaning around the house and then I sat in the sunshine in the backyard with a book for half an hour. It was relaxing!

Hugs to all!!

Wrote out reasons why I should feel optimistic and looked up some quotes on "perseverance" in order to get myself out of a funk and into a positive frame of mind - it helped!

Also went to the gym!
