I showered, shampooed, touched up grey roots, had two outings with my dog, and had a pleasant cafe meeting in the afternoon with someone from a dating website.
Thanks for this!

I started the day with a prayer and by reading a psalm and The Optimist's Creed. I bought my wife flowers, a coffee and a pastry, which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Went shopping with my mom, bought lots of stuff off the clearance rack. Did not buy shoes (my weak point).

Last night not much just hung out. Today picked up girls. went shopping. went (took) girls to birthday party. helped out at the party (swimming party). made supper. helped with homework. watched a movie as a family. trying to catch up here.

Way to go everyone else.

Great job everyone!

I went out with hubby and some friends tonight and I enjoyed it. I often avoid socializing, but it's definitely good for me to get out more!

I focused on the essence of who my wife is and why I love her so deeply to get me through a temporary moment of doubt. I am learning to be more patient and less self-centered.

I went swimming while my husband took care of the children. Later I went to the park and minded the children while my husband played soccer. It's the first time I've minded the children on my own in a good few weeks because of this silly depression/anxiety thing. It felt huge.

Mildred: I got a book called The Well-Behaved Child Discipline that REALLY works! I got caterpillar a Math and Reading workbook and then i got some bracelets and a plaque.

I went to church, out to lunch with a friend, bell and voice choir practice. Talked/calmed a friend down over the phone.

I went to the gym and then to the grocery store, where I spent $16 which should coupled with the food I have at home last me for the better part of the week. I also started keeping a "Food Expense" log. I'm trying to keep our grocery costs down so my wife and I can go out for an inexpensive dinner on Friday night and brunch on Sunday.
Thanks for this!

I haven't been here in a while but I must be doing something right???

Let's see, I walked my dog Jack today for our usual 1 mile. It's been rainy and he hasn't been getting one every day.

We both enjoyed it.

I got an email from an old friend that I've been pretty mad at for 2 months.
But instead of turning away and continuing to be angry with her, I sent back a nice reply.

I have to admit that I'm still a little mad at her, but it felt a lot better to be nice than to continue to hold onto my anger so tightly.
Thanks for this!

I broke up with my boyfriend. I had never had one before...I had had 37 years of loneliness...I just wanted to make this 'work' so badly to end the loneliness...but he yelled at me for no reason, disrespected me, took me for granted, wouldn't tell me what he liked about me, would not be romantic, forgot me on Valentine's day, on Christmas, talked instead about buying his ex-wife a gift, not me. Loneliness is better than not living a love life of integrity, of worth and value.

WOW..What did I do right? Well, I went to an al-anon meeting. I have not been since my two surgeries because it seems my life has been in a holding pattern waiting for the next surgery. I can't do that so I am moving on. I really needed a meeting as I was having so much /many issues with the people here at my retirement community. I had to change my thinking and my attitude and be with "normal "' people. It really helped today!!! I am so glad I took care of myself today!!

I stayed in my jammies all day today. Comforted a friend over the phone.

Yesterday I processed payroll for 63 employees.

Today, I got out of bed. Ugh. Hoping I can add something better to the list as the day goes on.

I made a conscious effort to be mindful, which allowed me to focus on some work that I need to do rather than thinking about what I'd rather be doing.

I went to bed earlier last night to try to catch up on lack of sleep the previous three nights. Went to the gym this morning and then came home and took a nap. Trying to take care of myself and rebuild my mental and physical strength.
Thanks for this!

I biked 8 miles and used the eliptical machine for 20 minutes. Then I went to DQ for a blizzard.
