I took the money originally meant for miscellaneous stuff for my birthday and instead put it towards helping my family with hard times.

You guys are amazing. Truly! I haven't been to this thread for a couple of days because I've been on a downer and my awareness of all the things I'm doing wrong was drowning everything else out. But now I feel better just for coming here!

Today I made a list of some changes I need to make in my daily life. I tried to break the changes down into manageable steps.

I got to shadow one of the case managers at work. It was a lot of fun. (Seems weird to say fun.) I spent an hour cuddling with my daughter. I painted my nails last night.

I took my mom to get pizza!! Excellent, thin-crust, brilliantly made pizza with the perfect sauce that was slightly sweet and somewhat acidic. We even brought some back for Dad.

What a great list of right things by wonderful people I've had the pleasure to read since my last visit. I am so grateful for everyone's contributions here; even more for the difference you make in your own lives and the lives of those around you.

I'm sorry to hear you've been on a downer, sundog. I know what you mean--that's been my territory these last months, still is...All that aside, I'm glad you felt cheered visiting here! Works that way for me too.
Thanks for this!

Went to Al Anon this morning.
Trying to feel OK with myself even though I feel angry/sad/cranky today. My partner mentioned that all of my feelings are valid. I am not so sure. I am sure I should lock myself in my room when I am anything less than happy or able to act happy. (Why I don't get out much. lol.)

That's wonderful (((((((everyone)))))))

Today I did some stretching exercises for my back. I'm supposed to do them every day but I usually don't. Gosh, wish I could think of something else that I did right, but that's about it for today.

Hugs to all

Wow! I've been away CONGRATULATIONS to everyone on their do-rights

So part of the reason I've been away is I've decided that in order to remain stable I must move out of my dad's house. So....I applied for a loan to buy a house (turns out I need a cosigner because I don't make enough money with my SSI to even qualify for a government loan. However, not to be put off I put together spreadsheets with 12 different scenarios as far as house price, amount of down payment, approximate monthly payment, income from babysitting (which doesn't count towards my loan but could pay my payments) to prove to my parents that I will be able to do this. They have both cautiously agreed to cosign. Wish me luck!

Good luck - Kitty

And way to go everyone else. I haven't felt like I've done much lately to report.

So quick recap in no particular order: been going to work, doing dishes, cooking (trying), trying to self-sooth on my own (not run to bf), totally cleaned kitchen - counter tops, fridge, swept floor, etc.; did laundry, made a blanket (been putting it off), now I'm going to take a nice long bath.
Thanks for this!

You can do it, kitty--it's quite a step forward, and I wish you all the best as you buy your first home. How neat will it be to sit on the porch and sip sweet tea while the sun goes down?

Sometimes I don't feel I've much to post here either, but I'm trying to hang on, and grateful when I've got anything to share. So here goes. Today, my mom and I took a very pleasant and relaxing walk. People were everywhere, enjoying the milder weather. I had no choice but to smile at a dad and his son creeping through the brush at the park with their noisy laser "guns," giggling as they chased their pseudo-prey. We stopped for coffee, and I appreciated the whole experience--I really needed the lightness and diversion.

Love and friendship to everyone here, as always. Can't wait to read the next installment.

So glad you enjoyed your hike and coffee with your Mom (((((((Nola)))))) It sounds wonderful

Glad you were able to visit your Mom and that it went well (((((((Julia))))))

Great job!!!! ((((((((PleaseHelp))))))

Well done!!!! (((((((((((((everyone)))))))))))))))

Today I did a lot of cleaning at home. Then I went on a long hike with hubby and the dogs and took some photos. And I found an easier way of editing the photos afterwards on my computer.

I got up on time even though I was exhausted from auditions last night (we finished about 1:30 am). I've been taking care of a kiddo. I called my rehabilitation counselor and left a message with questions about buying the house. I called the social security office to find out what buying a house would do to my disability payments (raise them ) I talked to both parents of the kiddo about raising their rates weekly. I edited and reposed my babysitting ad to craigslist to start looking for another kid so I can afford the house.

Everyone is doing great. One of my do rights needs to be to come here to post more Yesterday I went to pick up medicine. Then I went to the grocery store. My do right was to not buy the watermelon because it was too expensive. I have a quasi addiction to watermelon. I like to eat it every day, because its the only fruit my body can handle eating. But I had to be strong and leave the store sans watermelon. Because they were small and very costly. I consider this a good do right.

Today I woke up. I am on voice chat with my wonderful kid as she continues to pack to move today to Europe. My do right? I am not crying. This is very good. Because its a wonderful move for them. My future do right for today? To come here again to read and post. Its called a do right plan !!!

yay everyone. Great do rights. Okay, I didnt post here again last night. But I am posting early today. Another do right. I woke up when the alarm went off. Tremendous do right considering I had less than an hour sleep. Going to the homeopath in an hour. Another do right considering it is not my favorite thing to do. Well, the day is young. I am sure there will be many more opportunities to do right..... or simply just to be
