Beachy, welcome. I only now saw your post. I can relate to a number of your issues. Today, I went to an ACOA/alanon meeting, walked Sherman 2X along the bike path, did a sewing alteration job for someone, listened to soothing music, mopped up some meltwater from the basement floor, called 2 friends, wrote up some interviews I conducted for my investigator's report, and tried to respond skillfully to the flood of harshly self-critical thoughts and accompanying emotions I had all day long. Not too bad, considering how rotten I felt.
Thanks for this!

Did some self-care and got my haircut, not sure if I like it though. Cleaned the living room up a bit. Cuddled with daughter. Baked bread for potluck at church tomorrow. Moved clocks ahead 1 hour.

I discovered this thread a couple of hours ago, and I think it could be really helpful to motivate me. At that time, I couldn't think of anything that I had done right today (too much time on the computer again), so I decided to get up & ride the stationary bike for 15 minutes. That meant that first, I had to remove the mail from the bike seat & I filed all of it instead of just dumping it somewhere. So today, besides touching up the grey hairs, I cleared a pile of mail and got some exercise. It's a start!!

I almost touched up grey hairs, but it got bumped from the list. I went to the library to write up the remaining interviews for my investigator's report. Swept the floors a bit. Flung tennis balls in the yard, in lieu of walking Sherman. Practiced ways to post pictures at PC. Got paid for a sewing alteration, and worked a short while on a couple of purses that I'm making. Last night, I redecorated my profile page! I was in a Southwest kinda mood.

Despite going to bed early last night, I overslept this morning. I still managed to pick my friend up and get to church on time. I helped set up for potluck. I picked another friend up for choir practice. Took friend home. Smiled more than once today.

Welcome ((((Detia)))) and ((((((CatCan)))) Awesome job!!!!!!!

Awesome job to everyone!!!

((((((lavie))))) I think I must need to clear my cookies or something because I don't see any change to your profile page, but I've seen people complimenting you on it and you're mentioning it here too! I want to see your new SouthWestern theme!! Anyhow, it's great you did that!!! And it's fantastic you're posting more pics now too!

I worked quite hard this weekend on a new project, but I took plenty of time off as well to go hiking with my dogs and to hang out here at PC!! I did some housework too, though not as much as I needed to!

It really helps my mood when I'm productive. It's just that it's often hard to get motivated.....Anyhow, this weekend I managed to be quite productive and it feels good!

I haven't been very good at posting. Feels like I just do the same things everyday - work, cook, dishes, take care of dog. (so not much too report)

Thanks everyone for your accomplishments and posts.

Tonight, I resisted the temptation to spend hours on the site, and actually got some housework done. And I was more productive at work than usual (I've been skating there for a while now.)

Sundog, I agree completely that "It really helps my mood when I'm productive. It's just that it's often hard to get motivated...". It felt good to be motivated today.

I finished opening my checking account, went to the grocery store, took a nap. Took daughter to see T, then went to sister's house and had dinner with them, let daughter play with cousins for a few hours before going home.

Welcome Detia and CatCan and ((((((hugs))))))) to all. Great work on everyone's accomplishments. I third that, Sundog. It does feel good to be productive, and yeah, lack of motivation is a problem. I saw the neurologist today, who had nothing else to offer for "musical ear syndrome". He said what I learned online, that no medications help for this, and that it's extremely rare. I walked the loop at the dog park, and paused to listen to the rushing water of the river. This evening, I watched an inspiring movie about how thinking habits impact one's life and future.

Another emotionally dark day, despite an hour massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, a walk in nature with my dog, and attempting earlier in the day to use positive thoughts and visualizations to elevate my mood. I asked for spiritual guidance. Do right, I don't know, but I cried a lot.

(((lavie))) You are making major efforts. Congratulations on that! Sorry there's no cure for the ear problem.

I was mainly a blob today physically, but I am working on trying to be a better person, if that makes any sense. I was in contact with some people on PC. I have picked up a few things around the house, anyway. I blame my lethargy on DST and still trying to get my sleep cycle in line. I didn't sleep very well at all last night, alas, but I see my T tomorrow and maybe she and my pdoc can help me with this problem.

I refried the french fries my BF made last night and added garlic plus and parmesan to make them gar-par fries. They were AWESOME.

And I walked for 1.5 hours to/from the hardware store with the boyfriend. =)

Called my old attorney to get some advice. Called Child Support Enforcement and found out that my payments are going to be sporadic. Took daughter to dance.

Congratulated my friends on thier new baby girl Stood up for myself (not easy). Filed a complaint (sort of) about my T/facilitator of a group. Asked for new T. Did some ADD/ADHD testing.

Today: did some IQ and comprehension testing. work. going to take BF out for his birthday!

I did the whole day right!

Did everything go as expected? Nope. Did some things I expected not the ideal? Yep. Doesn't matter. It was a good day!

Had therapy, walked along the river with my dog for an hour and a half, crying, while trying to meditate and pray. Still crying a lot and despairing, called the crisis team. They urged me to apply for Dept of MH services, and I made the call, though humiliating. I worked for DMH in the past as an MSW. I called a new prescriber, getting nowhere with my Pdoc of 23 years. She then referred me to yet someone else, "more of an expert in treatment-resistant depression". I ate one meal, a frozen entree. I keep trying, while going through possibly the worst time yet in this life sentence that I'm serving.
