Left the house for a few hours for a different reason than having to go off to uni.

Catching up: finished files at work - whoop! Had supper with a good friend. Worked on the diaper bag for another 6 hours. (OK that took up all of Saturday). Doing laundry. Going to tackle diaper bag again (if machine decides to cooperate)

Took a walk with my partner and worked on trying not to feel responsible for her feelings. Felt happy to see the sun. Pushed myself to paint even though I was tired. Cooked a healthy dinner.

Yesterday, I walked in a local park, and chatted with a few people. I went to a music party, and when bad anxiety overcame me, I tried to not get swept up in a negative storyline about it, tried to return to earth after making negative generalizations and predictions about my life. Today, I called a few friends about taking a walk. (No one home, but I made the effort). I walked along a nature trail along a river, bumping into and chatting with the same people from the park yesterday. I vacuumed and spoke with a friend by phone. I'm about to make a salad. (I'm determined to learn healthier ways to feed myself, and stop the frozen entrees).
Thanks for this!

I tried to help a dog that I came upon in a very distressing situation. I may have been too late. But I did what I could.

What did I do right today?
I talked to my social worker, and stayed for the entire session.

I trusted the silence. Today there was not much "work" for me to do because I am waiting on others to complete their assignments before I can start mine. At other times like this, I have felt distressed and worthless because I wasn't "working". Today I accepted it as a gift from God and used some of my time to read business-related articles I have been meaning to read. I also went to a cafe and read from a couple of spiritual books I am reading.

I have to trust that the "silence" today was presented to me as a gift and that I was charged with putting it to use by continuing to pursue spiritual, intellectual, physical and emotional growth.
Thanks for this!

I went to work for supervision and to go over some things. Went shopping for a Easter dress, but didn't have any luck with it. Ended up buying 2 new shirts and a cd. Went to a memorial service for my "grandma". I smiled at others today.

e-mailed dad, did some laundry, handled traffic and rain on my own (I was about to ask mom to pick me up but I'm glad I didn't... and I managed to get home by myself, safe and sound).

So far, I went and got my allergy shots, and feeling inexplicably better, I chatted with several other patients for a while. I'm at Toyota currently, getting an annual car inspection. I'm even motivated to do some creative work, if my dog lets me, and if the mood and energy lasts.

I made a healthy dinner for my kids and myself last night. Made their lunches this morning and asked them to promise to eat at least 2 baby carrots today.

I worked through an anger issue I had with someone and turned it into a lesson for me about how to be more compassionate.

Everyone is doing so well (((everyone))). Today I remembered I need to spend time on PC. So far this week I've dealt with house stuff... still trying to buy and remain optimistic. I'm still working on getting my childcare listing. I did all the paperwork on my desk. I cleaned the entire house this weekend. I've met with/talked with sooo many parents about childcare. (although I've yet to have anyone actually put their child here) I had a nice long talk with my grandma last night. I didn't drink during the week last week so I was in a much better mood. I showed restraint in not going to garage sales this weekend and buying more kid stuff. I'm trying not to let the hecticness of my life make me crazy.

Got up at 3am to be at the voting poll at 5. Worked the poll and did a bit of studying for my certification test. Smiled at people.

Posted in the grr thread, that felt really good. Went to bed relatively on time last night. Actively working to fight the increasing depression. Took a wild chance and posted on craigslist missed encounters to try to find the guy who checked me out Monday even though I was wearing my jammies, toting a kid, and my hair was a mess. I figure if he thinks I'm hot then I've got it made lol. Talked to a friend. Offered to help another friend (who's getting evicted with just barely a month notice) get packed and moved. Thinking I will go to wine Wednesday tonight and give it one more chance before I give up on it. Still looking for another childcare job. Trying to decide if I should post a personal ad...we shall see.

Wow!!!!! Great job everyone!!!!

I figured out on my own how to solve a "techie" problem! Even though I spend most of my life online, I'm not very good with computers!! It felt good to learn how to do this particular thing!
