Just as I laid down to go to bed, I had a very frightening memory flash in my head.
I had forgotten all about how my abuser did things to me @ a church picnic on this rocket ride.
But last night, out of nowhere, the flashback hit hard.
It hurts and it stings to remember this.
I can remember it so vividly...like it just happened.

I call T who said that as I continue to work through my trauma more memories are possible to come back and I have to tell her about them, journal about them and try to work through them.

But, right now, it makes me feel so incredibly bad in my head. I am not sure I am equipped to go through anything more.

That must be awful to experience, and I am sorry that you are going through that. Take it at your own pace so that you don't get overwhelmed. I'm doing similar work right now too (trying to understand what happened as a child that resulted in where I am now), but on my own since that isn't what T is targeting. It's hard.

((((TS)))) good to hear your T is so supportive for you Huge Memory Last Night....God awful feelings Yes, but remember, if you are going slowly in therapy, then your brain (yourself) is ready to let you remember... and you will get through this. From what I've learned, you won't have to go through every single memory, for your brain will learn what to do with similar memories once you begin working through them. TC

Yo Twisted, you must be healing and strong enough to look if your memory kicked it out for you. Good Job!!! Keep breathing and taking your time. You can do this healing thing!!!
