Welcome to the thread Tams,
I don't know if this would be an option for you, but have you ever considered treatment, either residential or outpatient. It can be very helpful in letting you get a base of sober time to build on. I don't know what your substance is, but maybe a frank talk with your Dr. is in order. There are meds that can make the withdrawal process less awful, which is particularly important with alcohol as alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous. There are also a number of anti craving meds that can help you stay clean/sober. Hope to see you posting and hearing how it's going. splitimage

Really struggled yesterday with wanting beer. It's been so hot here and I don't have AC, just fans, and the heat is really starting to get to me.
But I didn't order any, and just kept chugging diet gingerale instead. Looking forward to going to my IOP program today.

Today is my 5th day this time around.
the longest I have ever gone was 5 1/2 months a few years ago. Then we had an ice storm and I had 9 mikes hard lemonaide and then the next day had 10 margaritas. I have a high alcohol tolerance. So when I diet, I don't drink. so right now I am dieting and drinking only diet(stevia) drinks or water sweetened with stevia. I have 40 calorie fudge bars and diet pop corn to hold me accountable in the evenings. Trying to follow a low carb diet. bizi

I'm out of cat food. I ordered my groceries to be delivered but forgot to include cat food. So now I have to go out in the heat and get it. First world problems
