Hello All,
I am panicky virtually everyday when my hubby is on his way home. I do the whole "what if" nonsense. What if he has an accident, what if something bad happened to him, etc. Which is a big part of my OCD. But lately I have being trying to practice some behavioral techniques with myself and relying less on my Klonopin and I am starting to see the light more and more. I am panickly less and less. Which is great start for me. I am really excited about this! I will continue to take one day at a time though and not get discouraged if I slip now and again! YEAH THOUGH!

Learning to control your panic is a great accomplishment that really makes you feel good. It has made me feel good. Pat yourself on the back as you keep going! If you slip, that means there was ACTUAL PROGRESS to slip from. You've had great progress. YAY!

Sunshine I DO THE EXACT SAME THING!!! I think alot of us do that, what if he gets into a car accident, what if something happens to him ect ect, I do that alot with my boyfriend.

I had anxiety yesturday, thought I was going to go into panic mode but I didn't ...

Take care, I'm glad that you are feeling better.

GFY! Remember, it is a process... like you said not to get discouraged if (when) you slip... be sure to come back and post it again so everyone can encourage you to carry on in this process...

Hey Dre,
What are try to do to help relieve some anxiety is to distract myself when I know a situation will provoke anxiety for me. Some of the things I do to distract myself is to : go on the computer, talk on the phone, watch TV, etc. whatever it is that will distract you until you feel the anxiety start to lessen. Also, breathing techniques help sometimes when I am anxious. Working with my therapist has helped me quite a bit. I hope you find this helpful.
