CBT is helpful. That's what I'm doing for my OCD...And I'm also about to add meds to the mix. Maybe try one or both of those?

Oh!

And if he doesn't want to do that...My therapist had me read this book called Brain Lock, and it has a method for helping OCD. Check it out.

CTB is cognitive behavioral therapy. Basically changing how you respond to different things. Here's more information on it: http://www.nacbt.org/whatiscbt.htm. You can also do a Google search.

Also, the doctor is wrong. Meds do work for OCD. Many people with OCD use them...Here's something about that: http://www.ocfoundation.org/ocd-medication-adults.html.

Hope that helps!

No problem how do i handle ocd

I've done a bunch of online reading about OCD, and read the book that I mentioned earlier and am in therapy for it...So it's pretty easy for me to find.

Let me know if you want anything else.

I've been diagnosed with ocd and I take meds. The meds are also for other issues but I believe I've experienced some benefit.

Here's a good page for what you can do to help your boyfriend in an English site with lots of info about OCD:
