I could feel my anxiety building up and I really wasn't enjoying myself while I was shopping. Suddenly, I got hit with a really quick, but intense episode of dizziness, which almost knocked me off my feet. I took a couple of steps and almost fell over into a %#@&#! shoe display. Then the feelings of unreality hit and I started sweating profusely. Then my stomach got riled up for the third time in 2 and a half hours and I had to leave the store and drive home to use the bathroom. Now I have to leave for therapy. Ugh, I don't feel good today. I have my graduate reception dinner tonight. There is no way I'm eating a damn thing. After four years of combating panic attacks that ruined my life, and having years where I was panic attack free-- they have been popping up lately. I am determined NOT to let them do what they did to me years ago. BLAH.

I'm sorry you had a panic attack, that can be such an awful feeling.
Good luck at your dinner tonight.

Your meds aren't helping screw things up are they? That sounds like a very unpleasant experience. I hope you do okay (and feel better) tonight during the reception dinner.

I have those feeling sof unreality hit me while I'm working, and that's the worst place to have them hit you.....the enemy is so hard to define here, I get the same, I will not let them do to me what they did to me before mentality...I guess that's the best mentality to have in a place like this.....here's a smiley for you..... In the last year I have been battling increased anxiety. Like you I don't want to go back to where I started this nightmare years ago. Keep fighting.......

Maybe it was a sign that you don't need any more shoes!

Ha! Never! Maybe it as a sign that I was overwhelmed by all the awesome colors and styles and just couldn't choose a shoe that was fabulous enough! lol
