I frequently especially when alone, go from slightly upset of something so small to exploding rage, and sometimes I get very violent. I've been known to just launch things across the room and just destroy things. Now I do have MDD & GAD.. I havent been officially diagnosed as BPD but I wonder if it could be something else. I'm more and more paranoid about things now. Constantly thinking people r out to get me, but I know it isnt true. Does that make sense?

Any thoughts?

Hi Chandler. Yes it all makes sense. Rage, parinoia.... all symptoms that challenge day to day life. The thing is we know the behaviour can be dangerous and certainly distructive and the thinking are incorrect. Maybe not in the moment but otherwise we know it is off. It takes work to figure out how to manage those thoughts and feelings so things don't go that far. It is work that must be done if you want the behaviours to stop. Often we need help to do the work. Therapy can be a good way to learn how to face our anger and fears so we can process them more productive

Have you discusssed any of this with a therapist or a doctor or someone else who is trained to help people to work through this kind of stuff? It might be something to consider.

It does make sense, and I hope it's something that you can eventually realize and control. I think talking to a therapist would help you see through your rage, suspicions and whatnot.

Please, try not to hurt yourself. I suggest calling someone if you can, or if you like email me.

We all go through it from time to time. I can feel the anger build up in me; I try and distract myself, try to analyse if my actions make sense; to stop myself before I lose it

I don't want to hurt myself, I do need to get with a therapist, but I dont have insurance, so its easier said than done. I go to a local Psych Doc who is with a non profit group, I will talk with him.

Perhaps you could ask the pdoc for a referral to group therapy. Group therapy can be little to no cost.

I couldn't tell from your post if you're on medication. If you aren't that may be part of the issue. You may want to track your mood to see if there's a pattern to it, recognize triggers etc. I use this online one http://www.medhelp.org/land/mood-tracker Hope the Pdoc helps you.
