Today's surgery went well. I had it very early in the morning. My shoulder inside was a little worse than what the MRI indicated. I also had bone spurs along with the impingement and my bone being out of place. The surgery itself only lasted an hour. It was my first real surgery outside of usual kid stuff all those years ago.

Major pain from my knee replacement surgery. And I feel like I'm headed for a depression.

MUCH better today. Yesterday was crappy, I was depressive but it was absolutely situational. Today the pain so far is much, much less. I rang the doc to see if the amount of pain is normal, they said to take the strongest painkillers I could stomach cos it was going to hurt a few more weeks yet. Having your cervix forced open and sticking cameras and things up there hurts a bit more than I expected...

Today I will visit my family and have a bit of an active day and hope the pain doesnt hit me tonight, I hate sitting on the couch when I am not already depressed, it sucks and makes me depressed. I cannot wait to be painfree so I can get back on the bike and do some more exercise, I can feel the weight coming on, especially with all the carb cravings! I was thinking of doing some yoga this morning but I am so super scared of it making the pain worse.

Don't do any inverted yoga poses until your cervix heals. You're not supposed to do them while having your period either. I dunno why, it's advice I was given when I started doing yoga in my teens.

After the nerve block wore off from yesterday's surgery I woke up in tremendous pain. So I took pain pills. Of course I'm writing this slowly with one hand. What makes everything worse is that its my dominant side they worked on.

Slept too late so now I'm wide awake. And i'd say manic as I want to move and not sit still. I really hope that I don't crash soon.

If you've just been diagnosed, don't expect a "quick fix". It may take time to find the meds that work for you. Most of the people I know (myself included) who are bipolar have a hard time finding the right meds and dosage that works for them. Just don't get discouraged if it takes awhile to start feeling better. Hang in there & don't give up.

I hate, make that detest my boss. She's more bipolar than me. Either she's in denial or she's never heard of the word bipolar.

I'm on 400 mg of Lamictal. Works fine with me. I found this forum. I think this will be good for me. I can interact with people who really understand.

Today is another OK day for me. I'm feeling restless and I'm trying to keep myself busy by doing some cleaning. I have to stop every so often to rest my back though because I still have some lingering pain. Also, it's cloudy today which is affecting my mood. Feeling a little down.

Mood improved today, not feeling so blue. Did some purposeful work today which I needed as I was developing too much of a relationship with my couch. Still not sleeping as much as I'd like.

Sleeping too much. Doing my knee exercises. The pain is still really bad. The only time it doesn't hurt is if I don't move.

Finally getting out of the house for a while today. I think that will really improve my mood. I've been feeling kind of down lately. Hopefully my drive to make more jewelry and get everything posted to Etsy will return. I have so much stuff I need to post and no desire to do much of anything.

Not focusing well. Too many things running round my head and overthinking everything. No news on pdoc yet. Getting frustrated.

Still depressed. Yesterday I almost felt normal, like 3/4 of the day. Or, if not normal, at least I felt better.
Also, now I think I'm having a mild mixed episode.

Panic attack time. Got pdoc information. Now I don't want to call. I talked big about wanting to, but I don't want want to spill my soul to some stranger. It may not even work out.
