Oh, honey....follow your instincts. You alone feel how you feel. If you feel you are on the wrong meds, chat with you pdoc and honestly tell him/her to try something else. When my first meds (lexapro and wellbutrin) did not work for me, I told my doc. She did not listen, so I became manic. Your body is your body. If your body tells you something aint right, then it aint.

I too am currently rapid cycling. Yesterday, I was cranky and depressed at 8 am, happy as a lark at noon, crying and depressed at 2:30 pm. chatty and happy at 4pm. Impulsively bought a $360 dress at 4:30 p.m., drank two bottles of wine at 7 p.m. Crying and suicidal at 8:30 p.m. Cried myself to sleep. Or passed out from the alcohol, I can't tell the difference.

Rapid cycling is emotionallly and physically draining. Hopefully this will pass.

I agree with Doubting and would add that if they don't listen, you may want to search out another doc. Which I'm currently doing.

Don't get rid of the current doc until you are comfortable with a new one though. I hate to see him take it personally and then not take you as a patient again.

By the way I've cycled several times this week. From extreme depression with intrusive thoughts to being on top of the world this morning.
