I took my dog for a big long walk. I'm 70 pounds overweight and exhausted by depression so this was a triumph for me. Yay me!

I dropped a class that was really stressing me out, did some self care, and worked for 4.5 hours, doing most of the closing duties with very little help/direction.

My wife threatened me with not eating anymore. And she can do it too.
We were down to the last piece of bread. She's not going to the supermarket anymore, she said. Something that was one of my chores before my depression.
I wasn't dressed like to go out. It was raining. Good excuse to look trashy.
Never thought I could do it. Got a windbreaker and walked to her car. In the rain, mind you.
Started the car still thinking I couldn't do it. Drove away looking for an excuse. A flat tire.
Maybe even a skid. Nothing. I got to the supermarket still thinking of calling her. But no excuse. The supermarket was almost empty. With the rain and all.

Got down. Went in. Started picking up things. One thing leads to another.
After an hour and a half, she call me to know where I was. "I'm buying the groceries."
That felt good. Like a human being should feel. The rest is history. Supermarket history.

Doing laundry, took my morning meds, got dressed and fixed my hair, made bed, used my new pill cutter. Trying to stay positive.

Even though I am scared to ride in the car, I rode clear downtown to get to a senior center homeless center. I was dropping off donations from our church. They gave me a really nice tour of the place. I rode home in a better state of mind as I had taken some klonopin. I am glad I went.
