Questions: Bipolar version

At least 41. On combination 72 I think,without counting dose changes. I made a webpage that included a list about 10 years ago and I am very glad I did.

Do you have any medical issues secondary to bipolar (like I have chronic constipation for example)?

No. Superman.

Best medical experience?.

Last time I was in the hospital, even though it was hell trying to get out of there I really bonded with the staff.

Worst hospitalization?

One before last. My roommate kept stripping down naked, hovering over me breathing heavy and telling me I'm pretty. When I told the staff, they didn't believe me. I tried to sleep in the common room but got so tired I tried sleeping in my room, she did it again but this time the staff caught her and did something. I was fearful I was going to be attacked the whole time.

Most inspirational person with bipolar?

Robin Williams. My hero.

I agree about Robin Williams.

Have you ever been a research subject?

Yes, back when I was diagnosed with BPD, six years ago. It was really interesting.

I manage, but don't.

What do you do when you're feeling down?

I separate myself from the world by reading a book. Escaping into the lives and the world of the book I am reading. Escape

Do any of you bf/gf/lp/spouse nag you about how much food you eat?

My mom makes sure I get a healthy dinner most nights (I live next door to her). No nagging, she just feeds me whatever she's fixing because I'd live on cereal and peanut butter otherwise.

Have you ever been hospitalized?

If we're talking just MI's... For panic attack, yes. For BP, no.

Do you think your BP has gotten better or worse within the past year?

It's under much better control than a year ago but I suspect the overall monster is probably worse.

Do you tolerate loud noises or do they make you symptomatic?

The other way around, noise (and light) are absolutely intolerable when I'm hypo/manic -they make me really jumpy and irritable.

Do you have a teddy bear?

No. I have a Marilyn Monroe pic.

Most productive period.

A couple yrs ago. I was very creative and also got a lot of projects done.

Do you have any co-morbid conditions?

Complex PTSD, a provisional diagnosis of ADHD and a previous diagnosis of BPD (cancelled a few years ago as I no longer displayed enough of the symptoms to continue with diagnosis).

What do you do when depressed?

Sleep & have suicidal thoughts

Does your med cocktail actually work for you?

I thought it was, we'll probably have to tweak the dosages or something.
