I was almost 200 pounds in 2001. On depacote....
20011 I was 122...looking at 120 as a goal, manic at that time.
Now am 158 this morning up 20+ pounds this year alone.
I take weight neutral meds so I guess I just have been not taking care of myself. At 5'7" I Would like to be 135 and fit!!!!

New York. I went in 2009 and loved it, as I am a huge theatre fan (mainly musicals). Alas, the only "holiday" I get is a trip back home to Norway next month.

What was the last book you read?

The last book I read was called Stoner, by John Williams. It had a lot of potential, but was not really very good.

Kay Redfield Jamison.
She is a psychiatrist who has taught at universities and been in charge of mood disorder clinics. She has bipolar disorder. She wrote An Unquiet Mind, which I really connected with. It is one of my dreams to be like her, to make such a difference in the lives of people with mental illness.

What does your bipolar cycling look like?

What does your cycling look like? I mean, how rapid is it? How much time is manic-side, depression-side, or mixed? Do you have asymptomatic times in between episodes, or is it in a constant, fluctuating state of symptoms?

I prefer lollipops.

Favorite candy to quell the side efects of most medicines for bipolar disorder.

14-15 days.

Does your hospital provide snacks or is there a snack machine?

At the last hospital, there were a few snacks in a little fridge in the common room.

Do you consider your hospitalizations to be a positive or negative experience?

Positive for all of them. They really helped and I feel fine knowing I may very well have to go back.

How many pills (including for other things and vitamins) do you take daily?

Clozaril with Emsam pretty nearly tied.

Do you get your meds refilled all at once or scattered through the month?
