Four.

Why can't I sleep?

Because I cant either!

Why are we so prone to addiction?

Probably because we are used to chaos and extremes. You go towards what you know. Also we use whatever we can to try and even out or numb the craziness is our minds.

Three current obsessions?

I'm low on obsessions right now, for once.

Are your family members too loud?

My youngest can be too loud on the piano yes. For the most part my kids are petty quiet though.

Have you ever gotten a speeding ticket?

Yep. Speed trap twice. Now I don't speed because I can't afford the fine.

Have you ever been in a car accident?

A few.
Let's just say episodically I have "reckless tendencies "

What has left you with unresolved guilt

Lots of things from before I had any idea I was bipolar......once I had an argument with my sister and slapped her face. I have found it very hard to live with that even 20 years later.

Do you tend to get sick more easily when your mood is changing?

No, my immune system is very strong thankfully. I do eat well. I haven't even had a cold for over 2 years.

When sopping anti-depressants do your emotions return powerfully, both good and bad?

I haven't stopped my AD in many years, since I had to stop to go on an MAOI, so I really don't know. When I made that change I was a complete wreck but I was depressed and my prior AD wasn't working at a dose I could tolerate even before stopping so I just got worse from a bad place.

Do you find you can't cry from you meds?

Last time I cried was at my uncle's funeral. I saw my aunt crying. Other than that I don't cry much.

Do you have any piercings? If so, which?

I have one in my left ear and two in my right ear. Nothing else.

What music are you listening to right now...or soon?

I imagine the next music I'll hear will be Christmas carols at the vet's tomorrow.

Do you have trouble going into stores during the holiday rush?

Yes, I get really agitated, anxious, irritable. This is why I try to shop before the holiday rush, and I buy things online to avoid the stores and crowds.

Were you misdiagnosed before being diagnosed with Bipolar?

no.

are you set for christmas (do you need anymore shoppinng, etc)

hahaha...haven't even started. Although I do have the excuse that i have been IP for the past month. Going to have to assign people to get gifts for me for other people. Too late to internet shop too. Thankfully I don't have a huge amount of people to shop for and I have wonderful family who will help me with it. Best I can do in these circumstances. Hopefully, I will at least be able to buy a few of my own presents.

What is something simple but wonderful on Christmas Day?

on every radio station, every tv channel, christmas music is everywhere.

A my id bracelet it's only $20 but I won't get it because I'm to embarrassed to ask.

Are you starting any new psych meds in the next month? (I'll be starting Rexulti)

I hope not. I am increasing my AD to help cope with loss of my cat plus holidays. That's enough.

Is Christmas day overwhelming for you?

in a lot of respects it is, yep

but also not because I don't need to plan for anyone

do you have lots of christmas decorations, a few, or none at all?. how do you decorate your house

I have a wreath up that was a gift and might do a Christmas tree? I'm not super holly jolly.

a ski vacation with the family

what's your favorite and least favorite parts about the holiday season?

best parts: the music, the food, the christmas movies on tv

worst parts: spending it alone, not getting gifts, the guilt of the last year, and overwelming sadness

overall, has 2016 been a good or a bad year
