One thing I've been trying to practice is deep breathing.

Current meds: 100mg Wellbutrin; 200mg Lamictal; 400mg Seroquel at night; Xanax 1mg/PRN; 100mg/PRN Trazodone at night for insomnia

Try to think of every action as a decision or choice. I can choose to be sad or I can go do something that'll make me smile.

Everything , I have a huge tool box of coping skills too many to list. If push comes to shove I smash some ugly thrift store plates !

Goodness I wish I knew...
Wait...talking to and/or being around my nephews. They are a complete distraction. But then coming get back to reality when I come home...ugh....

I need some better coping skills myself. when I'm really bad I drink excessively, or self harm. I go to a DBT group once a week so I know the skills, but I go from 0 to 60 in the blink of an eye, skill break down point comes around often, the stuff I do works though, it just leaves me scared.

I cope by binge watching mindless shows like Hogans Heros. It keeps me from thinking.
Podcasts too.
My little kitten helps a lot. She loves to be pet. Sleep with me and play.

Yeah, the blanket thing is really nice. I do this too. It really helps me calm down when I'm agitated or worried.

They make weighted blankets which are supposedly really soothing.
