I need some better coping skills myself. when I'm really bad I drink excessively, or self harm. I go to a DBT group once a week so I know the skills, but I go from 0 to 60 in the blink of an eye, skill break down point comes around often, the stuff I do works though, it just leaves me scared.

I cope by binge watching mindless shows like Hogans Heros. It keeps me from thinking.
Podcasts too. My little kitten helps a lot. She loves to be pet. Sleep with me and play.

Yeah, the blanket thing is really nice. I do this too. It really helps me calm down when I'm agitated or worried.

They make weighted blankets which are supposedly really soothing.
