My memory is not so good. I have a reoccurring reminder set on my phone. It's just bad when I might be out late. I have to remember once I make it home. So for those of you that take medicine did you take yours today?

I'm "lucky" enough to be a quick metabolizer, so I get the shakes if I forget any of mine (or other unpleasant effects).

Most of my meds are AM or PM, which makes it easy.
Each group is set out on my bed's end table.
Ready at bedtime and when I awaken in the AM.

I try to keep a regular routine going of taking my meds around 9:30. It is about the latest I can take them and generally I can meet this requirement most mornings. Lately I have been forgetful and have taken my pills later in the day. In the last month I have only forgotten to take my pills once, but there are many times I have taken them late. It's better than recent months where I would miss three or four days.

I always take my morning meds, but lately have been forgetting my evening meds. I just fall asleep on the couch around seven and then sort of crawl upstairs to bed while half asleep. Fortunately, the evening meds are mostly supplements and no psych drugs. It does make me mad at myself. I have them all ready in a pill minder and everything.

I always remember mine. Probably a function of doing this for 20+ years.

Despite not having a routine or even a central location for my many medications, I manage to take them everyday although I did completely forget one day last month. I am a fast metabolizer and know very quickly when I don't.

I'm a fast metabolizer too. I absolutely know when I've forgot or I need to get home soon. It's an awful feeling

I only remember to take mine when I stick to routine. Morning pills with coffee. Evening pills while watching tv. If I mix anything up I will forget.

99% of the time, I remember when I'm supposed to take my meds. But do I always take them is another story.

Constant battle within

I can't forget to take my meds because I know I'll feel frighteningly bad without meds. Also, I'll have withdrawal symptoms.
Thanks for this!

Yes I did. I'm usually good with the morning and bedtime meds. The afternoons can be hit or miss, depending on what's going on.

I take my meds 99.5% of the time. I have reminder alarms on my phone, plus I put my pillboxes in strategic places so I'm always close to them. Every once in a while I'll get out of my routine and I forget them anyhow, but those times are very rare. I don't do well even if I miss a single dose, so it's always worth it to take them...I'm on a very short leash.

I have had to take meds twice a day for physical stuff since age 12 so I almost never ever forget. Forgetting those ones could potentially be deadly.
Even when I was totally shiit faced drunk at college- I always took my meds before passing out For the night!

So for me remembering my psych meds is just adding one more of a big handful of pills I swallow every day into a pill box. But I would imagine for ppl who didn't take any medications before that it might not always be so easy to remember to take them all the time. Or want to.

I hate that I can't just hop in the car on a plane and take off somewhere impulsively w/o first making sure I have enough pills. Going to the pharmacy and dropping $100s on med copays every month blows. I got a real job right out of college at age 23 instead of being young and carefree driving cross country and wAitressing or something bc I needed a job with health nsurance...
sigh. Sometimes stuff like that is kind of depressing. Anyway sorry if I am just babbling on here.
