So after about two months I'm going to see my t. If you have had time and read my other two recent posts, I have some issues to work out. Mainly getting out of bed and stop feeling sorry for myself. I want to utilize my apartment that I pay 1150 for rent a month. I feel like that's a waste cause I only stay in my room. If you have read my recent and past post is I stay in bed. Sometimes for The Whole day. And it isn't all sleeping I use my iPad and that's about it. I only go to same three sites, here, ok Cupid and Facebook. Ok Cupid is, i Dont know. I talk to girl but get scared they won't like me in real life so when the time comes to set up a date I bail and stop talking to them. I feel like I'm cat fishing them because my pictures are older and I have gained so much weight since then. That's another topic I intend to talk to t about, but I feel now the most important thing is to get out of bed. I am writing this issue so I won't forget. Also my frequent cycles from extremely depressed or feeling good (but still in bed). I think part of the reason I stay in bed is cause my living room is a mess but I can't muster the will to clean it.
Please give me some advice. Anyone. ![]() I know this isn't written well but thanks for reading through.

I'm sorry you are having a tough time with staying in bed. Up until about a year ago, I lived in my bed as well. Now I've migrated to the recliner in the den so not much difference although I interact with family more now.
My therapist had me list 3 small (I mean really small) tasks to do each day. Once I completed those I could either go to another 3 or stop and feel good that I had accomplished something. Some days this works really well and I get motivated and even get out of the house and keep moving and sometimes not. I hope your therapist appointment goes welll and that you are able to make progress in getting out of bed more often. Best wishes. ![]() |

Can you work on cleaning for 10 min. then rest for a while and try again for 10 min.? It'll get you out of bed a little.

So t said bunch of stuff. One to change my mentality to from I want to do this, to I have to do this. She suggested making a "command center" where I plan and fill out my to do list. Lastly she mentioned to ask my pdoc for a small dose of Ritalin or aderall for few months. She said to give me a push to want to do tasks and not stay in bed. My pdoc appointment is in two weeks. Hopefully she agrees.
Anyone using either meds as a stimulant only, not for ADHD? What's your experience?
