I love cooking, but housekeeping otherwise is a big big big challenge for me so I am happy to report that for the first time in many weeks I did two loads of laundry and just put it away.

My husband and I entertained our pet parrot for hours today. And yet he wants even more!

My husband's best friend is coming over later on. We cleaned up in preparation. The house looks good.

Yesterday hubby and I did some spring cleaning at my request. We reorganized what was on all of the shelves in the laundry room (putting a lot of stuff into the basement). I also cleaned and reorganized the contents of two cabinets.

Laundry, went to dollar store for a few things. Yesterday swept floors and cleaned bathroom. I'm going to go to aldi after work tomorrow for rest of groceries instead of making an extra trip to town today.

Did a couple loads of laundry, picked up living room a bit, vacuumed, dishes. Picked up a few groceries and meds.

The big thing I did today I'm proud of is that I went for a walk!

Grocery shopping

started preparing for my trip to Moscow, where I am from:

- measured enough instant coffee into a quarter freezer bag
- filled a gallon freezer bag with 150 bags on decaf Lipton tea
- poured enough meds to last me while I am there, except I have to get a new bottle of Metformin, but I have all my other meds: Levoxyl, Zyprexa, Gabapentin, and melatonin and supplements and also migraine meds
- separately, prepared a plastic zipper bag with meds to take on the plane, just in case taking enough to take max dosages of both Zyprexa and Gabapentin in case it is hard to sleep on the plane
- filled a plastic bag with dried peaches, dried tart cherries and prunes and another with cashews to eat during my long layover in JFK; started cracking pistachios to fill another plastic bag but will have to continue later, as it gets boring
- got out the soap making supplies that I bought when I was hypomanic in November - I actually would use them, making artisan soap to give as gifts during my many get-togethers in Moscow

Started thinking through what I will take to wear (I am at my worst weight and some of the clothing is too tight for me now).

On Facebook, one woman offered to lend me her old iPhone since my basic Android phone from Verizon does not have a slot for a sim card and I would not be able to use it in Moscow

Nothing, but it is only 8.30 am are. I did get up nice and early and feel awesome so that is a plus. Seeing my T today. that should be very helpful as so much has happened in the last three weeks.

I put the candy in the plastic eggs for Easter.
I saw my pdoc.
I wrote a long over-due email to my best friend in from college, who lives out of state now.
I helped my daughter with her spelling words. They were Spanish spelling this week, all with silent “h”s, except for a couple words using “ch”. I don’t understand why her spelling words are so much harder in Spanish than in English. She is in 4 th grade in a dual language program. Maybe it’s just because we don’t know and speak Spanish at home, the list seems harder, but honestly, last week she had English spelling words using contractions, and one of the word on her list was”I’m”!
I am going to make dinner, but something simple, I think. I am a bit tired.

Well, so far I got up at 3.30am, and have had four coffees while messaging friends. Waiting for breakfast which starts at 7.30 am(half an hour away). The conversations were positive, funny and interesting. Also been listening to alternative music non stop. Wonder what I can accomplish the rest of the day?

Figured out why my diet is so impossible, returned expensive dog food to vet, got regular brand at a store new to me as our regular pet store closed, did monthly grocery shopping and got my dog out twice today. Enjoying the mild weather even tho it is overcast and humid. I find it refreshing!

Well, this happened yesterday, but I set up an appointment to talk to the pastor of my church about everything going on in my life. The church has helped me before financially and with resources, and I'm hoping they can help again.

I also set up an appointment to get my hair cut & highlighted. It is expensive, but my mom sent me a check to pay for it since I have been through so much lately.

Had a great ‘Good Friday’. Went for a swim then spent a few hours with my family. I loved it. My nieces and nephews are wonderful, as are my parents and sister, slabs I was in a great mood to enjoy it. Still slightly hypomanic but afte three days of little sleep I crashed at 4.30 pm and slept till 6 pm once I got back to the hospital. Then I went back to sleep and slept 20 pm to 4 am. Finally caught up on that sleep. A great day all round.

I took a shower (which is notable because I have the day off), filled the bird bath/fed the birds, and did the dishes.

I’m dropping my daughter off for some fun with her friends, then I’ll head for my mental health support group.

All good.
