I was married, then widowed 15 years ago, single since.

What would you like to accomplish in the rest of your life?

I've been asked if I had one wish what it would be, my answer was to be mindful for the rest of my life. Living in the moment always.
Q: what is your wish?

to be able to return to my career.

What was the best thing that happened to you in 2017?

I went back on meds.

What's the worst thing that happened to you in 2017?

gall stones

what is the best part of Christmas?

I can’t pick a best: the decorations, lights, Christmas tree, great food, eggnog, festively wrapped presents, holiday music, fellowship, goodies, tv programs like The Year without a Santa Claus and the Grinch, family, church and community activities, ice skating....

What’s the worst part of Christmas?

for me, being alone and spending it alone.

in general?

that people forget what christmas is actually about- it's not about buying all the gifts and all the food, it's about family, it's about friends, and of course it is about jesus too.

question: can you share a happy christmas memory with us?

The year my niece was an infant she enjoyed Christmas perched inside a gift box. It was very cute.

Do you worry about how new doctors will respond to your diagnosis?

Answer: Yes because I have a hard time trusting doctors.

Question: Share something about your Christmas.

Emotionally, it was a struggle. However, something positive: I had a really good crab cake dinner on Christmas.

Does New Year's Eve/Day trigger you in any way?

yes.

new year's eve is a really hard time for me. I hate it every year.
is their anything in 2018 that you know of that you are looking forward to?

Hitting my goal weight.
Q: Do you or others think you are good looking?

No, not at all.

Did you have a good childhood?

It was okay. Not great but not too bad either.
Q: What or who do you love most in the world?

that no matter who you are, or what you do, or how wel you've lived your life, time catches up to everyone and takes it all away

seems unfair- especially to those who have really struggled to get where they are.

question: if you knew tomorrow was your last day on earth, what would you do?

I absolutely wouldn't want to know.

Do you celebrate the New Year?

I'm weird about new year

I don't believe in it at all- like I think the whole idea of celebrating a number is really stupid, yet every year I always watch the countdown on TV.

it's like... I have to, because everyone else in the world is.
what is one thing you miss about life without MI

I miss being out and about without the anxiety I now have about leaving the house.
Q:What is something you have learned about yourself since you got sick, that you wouldn't have known otherwise?

that I am extremely sensitive to hurtful comments.

( and I havon't heard anyone use the term " got sick", in ages. like since 2010. lol)

are you more likely to refer to your diagnoses as a mental illness, a mental health condition, or a mental health diagnoses? (I know we all have our preffrences about this!)

Mental health condition usually, but diagnosis is okay too. I usually refrain from using the term mental illness based on the stigma it carries, but I'm not necessarily offended by it in every context.

What movie do you like to watch when you are feeling down?

Rocky.

Do you dye your hair?.

Maybe once a year at the most.
Q:If you could do your life over ,knowing what you know now, would you?
