My episodes are short. I normally can tell by how my mood changes.

The moment I'm not thinking straight and simply don't want to get out of bed or feel drained, I know I'm depressed.

Hypomania for me is different. It's as if fireworks are going off inside of my head and I'll start laughing, joking, talking endlessly and quick to annoy at times. Especially with noise. If there's loud noise going on, I'll be extremely annoyed by it.

When's the last time you did something nice for yourself?

I bought myself a fancy new meditation chair for my "meditation cave." It was my own reward for making through a rather painful inpatient stay.

How do you deal with a mental professional who won't listen to the words that are coming out of your mouth?

Well that would be mood dependant but lets just go with today. Woke at 9, ate, went back to bed til noon, got up ate lunch, puttered in garden and now its 1:45pm. In my head now I still have lots more to do but in reality I'll be lucky if I accomplish 1 or 2 more things, then dinner, tv/read and bed.
In a better mood----lots more gets done of course. Oh well.

Q. How frequent do you take a sleep aid?

no one

question:

what was it that made you join PC. what made you join a support forum to begin with?

(for example) with me, it was because no one in real life got it- and when my own family disowned me I decided it might be a good idea to join

Yes I do I am afraid, but you know, after a while I tend to let it go. Sometimes I even reach out to the person.

Have you been feeling "extra" bipolar lately?

I've had to give up music because it makes me hallucinate. Before that I like(d) Christian music that gives me hope.

Do the shorter days make you want to hibernate?

I love the Impressionists era of painting (Monet, Renoir, Cezanne, etc.). It’s decorated in a way that evokes that era.
