Blueberrybook, it sounds like Lithium shows great promise for you. I'm happy to read that.

wildchildflower, congratulations on getting the new job! I'm glad it gives you some flexibility in the early morning.

childofchaos, I hope your hospitalization was helpful. It's nice that you are home and checking in with us at PC.

Had a quiet morning, resting from all the excitement yesterday with my Overeaters Anonymous group. Such a stellar group of women! I haven't felt my actions and words so appreciated like that in a long, long time. Of course i appreciate the online support here also, especially Fern46.! Women supporting women -- it's a beautiful thing! Men are so useful and amusing to watch, of course. I had two plumbers in recently and the second was so skilled and effective -- he removed the old toilet, installed the new one, settled the bill by e-transfer, carted the old toilet away, charged an affordable price -- all in under an hour, no fuss, no muss. Reminded me a lot of being little and watching my dad do handy-work. Such a good lifestyle for a man, doing skilled labor.

I'm doing well with my eating. Fiber is the priority now and i find it best to get it from veggies. Even had two big leaves of cabbage today! Protein is he second priority and i had some chicken and a whey powder protein drink. Am finding i'm very sensitive to rich foods, as my aunt was as she aged. It's for the best -- rich foods are usually empty calories. So i have some hope for my physical health and i'm just going to hang in there and "do my job" as all the pro athletes say!

In Bipolar Land things are quiet, blessedly quiet. I feel good and bought some temporary black hair dye that i am eager to try. I have grey hair and feel it ages me but not willing to put up with permanent dye jobs and the maintenance nightmare of dying the roots frequently. I think temporary dye is a good option. If the store gets some blue and green in i will mix them and try aqua next! Fun! I just feel like changing up my look, having some fun with it. I've been dressing in flowing clothes lately and it's soooooooo comfy! A whole new look for me! I love the look of blue jeans bu they are so hard on my ginormous waist. I just don't have the figure for jeans.

It's a rainy foggy Fall afternoon and while i DID get my dog out for a good break it is also nice to be cozy inside.

Had an anxiety attack earlier, took a Valium and then took a benzo nap to calm down.

The GP had been reluctant to prescribe it in the past telling hubby to rather lose weight and exercise, but if the oral surgeon won't extract his tooth, something quicker needs to be done. So what's strange about today?

When I was waiting for hubby in the waiting room, I had my glasses off looking at my smart phone. The door to the office opens and I see this extremely tall man. I squint my eyes partially to see better and partially in disbelief. It was my psychiatrist! Imagine the coincidence????!!!! The office is near to his, so it's not out of the question that he would go to this oral surgeon, but I had no idea he, too, had a tooth problem. And to be there when I was there? It was only about 7 weeks ago that I ran into him going to the grocery store (again, not far from his office). Another time in the past, I ran into him at the hardware store. Again, close. A few months ago my husband ran into him at the swim hole. Now our town is not huge, but it's not a small town either.

Gosh that just sucks about your husband having to wait further to take care of this tooth. Crazy !! I’m sorry.

Yes that is peculiar running into Pdoc many times. lol

I love that you're enjoying the overeaters anonymous group. You've done a lot to make it comfortable and lovely for everyone. I am glad they appreciate it.

My gray hair is popping up left and right. I have blonde/brown curly hair and so far the gray just blends in. I do not want to color my hair. Maybe I'll just rock it when it turns more gray. Hopefully that's a few years away

Oh boy More crap to think about

I’m glad your father allowed them to check up on things. I imagine with his drinking he could be an easy target.

Make sure you take good care of yourself with numerous problems going on at once

I hope this job is less stressful. I’m not convinced it will be but I can try. Maybe with my new meds I’ll be able to stay out of depression. We shall see!

Edited to add: I just made an appt with my primary care physician to get my diabetes symptoms checked. I hope we can figure out what’s going on.

Congratulations!

Well good grief !

My lungs had really improved and then I woke up today and Boom it’s all back.. I just finished my steroids 2 days ago

I have had many times today where I have gotten so short of breath I have almost passed out. Twice outside and then in the shower. I’m so incredibly exhausted.

I don’t see Pulmonary until Nov 7th which I had been hopefull I could cancel. A few days ahead of it if I hadn’t relapsed. Well hell !!!

I’m just perplexed. I have never had such a struggle to get my Asthma under control

My oxygen saturation is 94 and up so I’m getting enough air I’m just having to breath on average 18-20 times a minute instead of my normal of 12-14.
I’m not hearing much actual wheezing it’s more just real tight feeling Bronchial tubes and lungs.

I don’t have time for such nonsense

I called my doctor and she prescribed propranolol for my anxiety/panic attacks so I don't have to rely on the klonopin all the time. I had been on it years ago and found it helpful so hopefully I have no issues. I'll pick it up from the pharmacy tomorrow.

Have to go to the dentist. I have an abscess or infection of some sort. I'm really worried about it, probably just my anxiety getting bad worrying about the possibilities but I needed to go to get a cleaning/exam anyway so I'll do that tomorrow. I'll also have to see about getting on a different med for my silent GERD because zantac was recalled, which sucks because it worked really well. Hopefully there's some other med that can help

I have taken Inderal in the past and it was helpful for anxiety but it wound up dropping my already low blood pressure far to low.

Ugh dental anything stresses me out so much , I feel your pain but an infected tooth or something can quickly spread into the blood stream and that’s scary.

I to am also going to have find an alternative to Zantac!! I have taken it off and on for yearsssssss.

For those who were on zantac, I get protonix free through my Med D program. It works well and well, free is free. Back when I was working this is what the hospitals used for everyone and then they'd be discharged to the nursing homes and Medicare wouldn't pay for it so they'd have to go on something else. I think the hospitals used it because it is effective. Now that it is generic it's a good deal, especially free.

Yes beyond frustrating !

I’ll say it again sometimes the best way to get plugged into the system and finding resources is by going IP then a social worker can get things lined up before discharge.

Is Miguel still struggling with suicidal thoughts? Or are you not sure he will be completely truthful ??
