Mum slapped me awake then dismissed the dream as silly cause Minnesota doesn't get volcanos. I spent a lot of time waiting for my parents light to go out then giving them time to fall asleep. Then I read under the covers.

Last night I finished my book, so it was early am when I turned out the lights. But I did sleep. The dream was weird, I was locked up in a cage preparing to be blasted into space. I was a chimp!
Lol. Well I hardly slept last night so I think I’m still a member. The good old go to sleep at normal time only to wake 3-4 hours later unable to get back to sleep. I did manage a half hour nap today.

What weird dreams you had. I hope you have peaceful sleep tonight, or had some last night. The time difference confuses me sometimes.

Awake 3 a.m. Actually, I wouldn't mind breaking up my sleep if my eyes were okay. The Cogentin dries my eyes out, so it's painful to keep them open when I'm still sleepy.

Yeah my eyes suffer the most when I can't sleep. Then my back and legs. I seem to be on a every other night schedule.

Oh Christina you need more than just a few hours lie down rest! Can't you stay down for at least. 6-8 hours even if you don't sleep? I really worry about you.

Nammu, do you ever use eye drops? I don't know if it's just me, but I've tried different eye drops, even some of the more expensive ones, and they burn my eyes.

There's one eye drop that really works but I forget what it is. Last time I bought eye drops I noticed the expiration date was just one week later! I keep forgetting to buy more.

Normally I can force myself to lay down longer but the PsA pain is just unbearable right now. I just can’t find a comfortable position , my Fibro is roaring too and I’m having huge a psoriasis flare the back of my head is on fire and so itchy despite the medicated shampoo, there’s nothing medication wise until my breathing returns to normal.

So basically I’m miserable lol

I'm joining the club. Haven't been sleeping properly since I quit taking Seroquel XR, and it's been 8 or 9 months now. Clearly I get some sleep every now and then, but it's far from normal and there are nights when I don't sleep at all.

Recently stress and my new meds have just made the insomnia worse. But I got 6 hours of sleep last night and that's pretty good compared to the 0-5 hours I usually get. Yay.

I took Seroquel for 7 years and finally was able to stop taking it. I had titrated down slowly (during the last year of taking it). 75mg for a few months, 50mg for some months, 25mg, then finally down to 12.5mg. When I stopped taking the 12.5mg I didn't sleep more than 2 - 3 hours every night. At some point I was sleeping a couple of hours at night, then on and off during the day. It was crazy, and I felt hopeless.

Then the esteemed Dr. W prescribed Zyprexa and voila! I am sleeping better than I have in many years. And I feel, generally, more stable.

Is it possible to change something with your meds so you can sleep?

Can I claim early waking as insomnia?

I tossed and turned till about 6 am then had a dream that my oldest sister and three babies moved in with mum and me into a basement that was full of boxes and filling up with water. My cat wasn't happy and someone had shaved his body. There were old cars too, model Ts and studebakers too. My sister only has two sons don't know where the three babies came from, plus she's in her 70's!

I woke up an hour before my alarm, but managed to get 6 hours of sleep again. I feel otherwise good except maybe a bit wired. And yes, my pdoc, she's aware of my sleep deprivation. I've been on my new meds for about 6 weeks now and I've been told one of the side effects is that they possibly make your insomnia worse.

I don't think there's much to do. I've tried zopiclone but my sleep gets more interrupted than without it. If I become very desperate, I might be able to agree to take a lowish dose of Seroquel XR. I stopped taking Seroquel because it increased my appetite so much, and that's why I'm scared of Zyprexa too. I feel like my sleep is getting slowly better. At least I hope that's the case and not just a couple of good nights

I gained 147lbs on Seroquel (started at 110lbs).

I don't know what it's called in Finland, but you must have some over the counter sleep aids. Would it be possible for you to take a sleep aid for a week or so? I took ZZZQuil for a week after stopping the Seroquel and it did help to reset my sleep.

I am going to force myself to stay in bed at least 6 hours, I do feel I will get at least some sleep I’m taking an xtra Xanax and a gabapentin. So if nothing else it might help my pain so I can find a comfortable position.

If I don’t sleep I don’t ..I no longer get all stressed about it.

Hope everyone gets deep restorative sleep tonight
