If I can't sleep, I'll go to Walmart and find some melatonin. Who knows what bizarre creatures I'll find lurking around Walmart at these hours though. Sometimes there is some bizarre sh_t that cannot be unseen. *shudders* I may have nightmares and be unable to sleep from that.

Melatonin is helpful to a lot of people, it can’t hurt anything trying it.

Hopefully tonight you will get some great sleep

Zero sleeps ! Again my body pushed me out of bed after a few hours.

I am very tired I think I may just go lay in bed to rest my body , if I doze off I’d be real happy but if not that’s okay

yeah, I got like... 2 hours last night. lol.

I didn't get melatonin, but I may pick some up today. Should be good to have it on hand anyways.

Maybe I'll be able to sleep tonight. Don't know why I'm just not tired. I'm not manic or anything.

Congrats! Glad to hear you got some sleep, even if it was only 1 hour.

I got 4 hours tonight (11pm until 3am), which I suppose is better than nothing.

I slept from about 9 to 2 am. Which isn't really enough. But I'll probably sleep better tonight.

Sorry to hear that, Christina. I hope you'll manage some sleep tonight...?

I begged my pdoc for klonopin to put me to sleep, but he won't prescribe it. I don't know why because I've never abused klonopin and I hardly even used it when I did have it. I am jittery/restless and can't sleep.

I want to try melatonin, but I'm afraid I'm going to be groggy from it. At least I know I won't get a hangover from klonopin, and it'll help with the jitters.

I think I’ll sleep tonight , Thanks

Most people don’t have trouble with it making it impossible to get up and get going on your day .. it’s best to take it when you have 6-8 hours until you must get up , you might have to fiddle with the time you take it.

What’s nice is it lets you fall asleep naturally, it’s not a chemical slam to sleep.

It’s worth a try , it’s helped me off and on, right now?? Nope ! So I quit taking it , I’ll try them again in a month or so.

That's good melatonin doesn't leave you with a hangover.

I picked some up from the pharmacy since I had to get other prescriptions anyways.

My normal bedtime is 7pm and then I wake up at around 4:30am for work stuff, so I am past my bedtime. But my first meeting is at 7am (Skype meeting), so I can afford 6-8 hours for melatonin. I just took some because f*** it; I need sleep! (Well, I don't "need" it since I am not tired, but I SHOULD get it. lol.)

Melatonin in my experience is a cumulative herb, your body gradually builds up the levels. I have to take it for 3-4 days before it really helps. That's why it doesn't have the after effects

Well no sleep for me last night but that’s okay it’s just this weird cycle .... 3 no’s then sleep then 3 no’s again.

But hey consistency counts right ??!! LOL !!!

Not sure if this is insomnia, really, but like I have been lazy all day and it's now after 1am and like I just physically do not want to get into bed! I wanna exercise, NOW. I feel so freaking ****** that I didn't force myself to do it sooner and I'm stuck doing chores when I get up tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow night. I'll likely have to force myself again but I hate this feeling right now!

Well, melatonin was a fail, but I gave it a fair shot since you guys mentioned it takes a while. Thanks for letting me know that because I would have given up on day 1.

I have been getting normal sleep now. I wonder if I was experiencing a hypomanic episode after getting minimal sleep for days and not feeling tired. I don't always crash, so it is possible.

Thanks again for your words of wisdom.

I hope everyone is doing well. I know sleep is important.

Ugh, the usual segmented sleep last night. It would be okay if I was fully awake in between sleeping. But it's the too tired to do anything/not tired enough to sleep that makes segmented sleep such a challenge.

Ugh! So a long story but I don't really have time right now to get it all here. Well, I didn't get to sleep till like 3am. Then I woke at 630am with this nagging thought that I HAD to go post something about this memory (that whole biz is on another site I'll get to later). Anyway, I couldn't sleep again until well after 730am, but I also woke up again at ten, then slept till 130pm. I'm really screwing myself with this schedule! I really hope I get my butt in gear and work out tonite!

Sorry to rub my few hours of sleep in your face. I mean, I don't mean to. It's just crazy sleep and it still sucks. I don't even fee rested either! And the dreams, omg!
