I tried Cogentin, propanolol, and increasing my Klonopin dose. None of them worked for akathesia or tremor. My pdoc finally prescribed something called Amantadine. The stuff's excellent. Really helpful. If nothing else works, you might mention it to your pdoc. But hopefully the Ativan will help. Akathesia was one of the most horrible sensations I've ever experienced.

Hopefully that will help. I got horrible akathisia from latuda and geodon. For me I just had to get off them. It was really severe akathisia...I have a permanent side effect from latuda. I like twist my lip when I'm really tired. It has never went away...

I'm still depressed. I stopped exercising because it didn't make a difference and it was really hard to stay motivated. I might still exercise again at some point.
I've been distracting myself by going on a writing marathon. I have about 5% more to finish and it's easy stuff. Then I need to design the cover and finally release it. It ended up taking 18 months to finish this. My original estimate was 8 months. I've been actively managing my sleep. I was sleeping too much...11 hours. I've been around 8 for several weeks now.

That is a nightmare! Were they babies or fetuses or both? I often dream that I'm pregnant- about 5 months- and miscarrying. What does that represent? What does your dream represent? Your sister is devouring your dreams?

Not much different here today. I got one cupboard full of hot chocolate, coffee, canned goods and various and sundry things cleared out. I'm doing laundry. (Pretty soon that will be more difficult.

I can't recall checking in this morning before work, but either way, here I am.
After work I had physical therapy for my shoulder. It's been hurting since February but the PT always helps it feel better. I'm glad for that.

My third and last pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage at 4 months. Sometimes I dream about it...that loss was so, so awful. Somehow all those worries and losses got balled up in my mind and resulted in a really horrid nightmare. It's sad that no one wants to buy your piano. There must be some people who still play pianos in the U.S. Sheesh. I would sell the washer/dryer as a set. It seems to me that if you break them up it will be harder to sell each one.

Another tiring day. My student was fine until after lunch and then he flipped out because he lost his chrome book for refusing to follow instructions. Cue cursing, running the halls, splashing hand sanitizer everywhere, setting off all the door alarms, culminating in eloping and throwing cones at people in the parking lot. The handle with care specialist told me to go inside while he was having his tantrum outside as I had been there all day and was probably just aggravating him (which I understand). Plus there were about ten people out there trying to talk him down, so there was no reason for me to be there too. She told me just to go in and start documenting everything, which I was grateful for. She said later that she’s probably suspending him tomorrow. He was so unsafe today that he made the rest of the building unsafe as well. Just splashing the hand sanitizer on the linoleum floor is a problem as it makes it so slippery. He needs a day to collect himself.
I will miss him though. I’m still trying to figure out the best approach. I think right now the less I say the better. I still have to follow him to make sure he doesn’t run out, but if I just offer to talk once and let him know I’m there, there’s no reason to keep harping on it. It’s also giving him negative attention. As long as he’s not creating unsafe or disruptive situations, I’m just not going to say a word. See if that helps. I’ve got to go shopping tomorrow. I’ve got to get my son some food for lunches. I’m trying to stay away from processed food but my son doesn’t like anything! Right now he wants chicken patties, hot dogs, ham sandwiches, and frozen chicken pot pies. I’m going to show him some options and see what he picks.

The roaring from the jackhammers from our balcony repair project was awful today. I was waiting on a delivery so i couldn't leave til 2:00pm. I fled to the mall but because of COVID seating is limited and i could only get a bar-stool-seat which is not comfortable. So i dragged myself back home and luckily the workmen had quit early today and it was quiet. I am sure appreciating the quiet.
Tomorrow the weather is nice so i'll just go outside with my dog if the noise continues, which it probably will. Noise is just a nuisance tho, not a threat to my safety, like the fire or hurricane in the US. Tho our COVID numbers are climbing and my city is a hotspot. I guess things are tough all over. I'm bored too but i'm sure many are bored with COVID on. Boredom can't kill you, tho you might wish it could, haha! Hugs to all who struggle especially those effected by fire and hurricane. ![]() |

Hey y'all. Sorry for the radio silence. I've had a rough go of it lately. My last post, I was in a psych ward after...
(triggered because of explanation, not necessarily graphic nature, but could still be triggering)
Possible trigger:
That last post was on the 21st. I started running a fever shortly after that and having some medical symptoms... on the 23rd, the psych facility sent me to the ER to get checked out after a fever of 102 and not being able to register a blood pressure. I ended up having a really serious kidney infection that had gone septic. I had to spend 3 days in ICU and another 7 in a regular room for IV antibiotics. Then I was sent to a different psych hospital, because the one I had been at was full at that point, and spent 7 days there. So, all in all, I spent 25 days in the hospital. With two brief ambulance ride and one cab trip in there. Didnt get to go home at all during that time.

@childofchaos831 I'm glad they figured out the kidney infection quickly. All in all, 25 days in hospital but you're home now, right?

My Abby cat is curled up tightly against my leg. She's never snuggled like this. Maybe she's finally getting through her grief. What a sweet girl she is.
