I did quickly read through the most recent posts here. Thinking about everyone and hoping things go better, if they need to.
My husband and I arrived in Czech Republic yesterday. Unlike France and Spain, I almost wasn't allowed in the country for being an American (a covid red zone country) . Yes. We didn't think it would be any kind of an issue because my husband is a Czech citizen. But because I have no residence visa (we live in the US still), it was. The airport officer told my husband, in Czech "How do we know she is your wife? Having the same last name is not enough." My husband had to mildly plead with him. I knew what was going on, despite the language barrier. At one point, I declared in Czech, that "He is my husband! We got married in Prague at the new town hall." Then I quickly dug into my wallet and pulled out my insurance card that literally showed both my husband's and my names on it (he is the primary insurance holder). That was literally the only minor evidence of our link. The officer made a call, and it was decided that they'd let me in. Next time, we will bring our marriage certificate, in Czech. Also, we plan to perhaps even have an apartment leased in Czech Republic by then. Imagine if they denied my entry?!?! My sister-in-law only sees us through tomorrow morning, since she is going to Greece. She's still waiting for her own covid 19 results that are required for entry there. Talk about the clock ticking! Plus she is nervous because that part of Greece has a hurricane in the forecast. I think she deep down wishes she could stay home, but the trip is paid for. In her absence, we'll continue to stay at her country home with my husband's nephew. My husband's ill brother in Munich, Germany is too afraid of us because of covid-19, even though we surely never contracted it and have negative test results from three days before our US departure. So, that visit is nixed. Also, my husband's other nephew was supposed to join us for a trip to Brno (in southern Czech Republic), not far from Vienna, Austria, but he seems to be backing out. He says he's ill, which could be true. My sister-in-law says that it's possible he's doing so because of covid-19. Who knows! Ever felt like a pariah? Frankly, I suppose I "get" their fear, to a degree. The US is an absolute failure in the world, when it comes to covid. If some Americans don't see it like that... News Bulletin: The rest of the world does! On a happier note, I'm loving the significantly cooler temperatures in Czech Republic. Hubby and I felt Spain and Southern France too hot and humid. Tonight my sister-in-law and nephew built a bonfire in their backyard, where we roasted sausages on sticks. The air became so cool that we saw our breath. They're all now inside watching some Czech program on TV. I am in bed under a comforter with a heated blanket underneath me. Ahhhhh! Attached are three photos. One my sister-in-law's house with bonfire in the backyard. Another, the sausages with bread and mustards. And third, us a died down fire after dark. I went to the dentist and they took my tooth out. The dentist is good at his job. It had been infected for a while (but didn't hurt much usually) He suggested a root canal 2 years or so ago. I didn't want to have it. (5 appointments with a specialist) As it turned out, it might not have worked anyway. Papa bear had a root canal recommended 10? years ago but the dentist was not able to save it (it had split, so had mine)
(they took my temperature outside .... etc.....before the appointment) I went for a walk afterwards, around trees, it was cool. Papa bear came to the dentist with me (he drove) but did not go for the walk with me (he has hurt his back) hugs ![]()

Just home from picking up N3 and S. They walked all the way to the orchard and all the way to Tim Horton's where they called and asked me to pick them up. I did because that's a long walk, otherwise!
Now I have some "assignments" to do tonight: Clean out the microwave, clean out an end-table in my bedroom, and wash some small baskets. We got a fair amount done today, but it never feels like enough! I have LESS THAN two weeks left.

Waiting for my husband to come pick up Sadie, one of my cats, to take her to the vet. It's nothing serious, she probably has a bit of a fungus in her ears, but anything to do with the vet leaves my stomach in knots.
And he's kind to take her, but it's not easy with him. You would think.... ![]() I can't drive though, yet (achilles surgery). And the vet will call me at home to give me the info. Ugh. I'll be glad by the time baseball comes on tonight and this afternoon has passed.

Big article in NYTimes today about a current Covid surge in multiple European countries. Of course, we are the worst, but it has re-surged over there, too. Have fun, Soupinator!!!!

Oh my gosh, you guys. Even though I live here, I had never really watched Portlandia before. Was just always working when it came out. Into season 2 now and cannot stop laughing. Absolutely ridiculous show. Mayor Kyle MacLachan mandates that the city provide each resident with like, 27 different color-coded recycle bin types. Coffee cups go in fuschia, lids in periwinkle...
BeYOND hilarious making merciless fun of this uber liberal eco-foodie very quirky town. Recommended if you require a laugh. Comedy is now part of my daily routine. I watch at least ten mins of standup or sthing to force me to laugh every day. The part of my brain that controls laughter is broken when I am depressed. Hugs and love!!

![]() I moved into a new apartment back in February and it's been great, it's supportive housing so there's a person here I meet with every month to discuss my goals and whatnot and they help me with any concerns I've had and they stay in touch with my case manage Oh, man, I could sure use a case manager or something. I need help.

@SleeplessinthePNW I can relate in that when I was in the episode which resulted in my diagnosis we lost the house we were buying. Though my wife and I don't talk about it, it remains a thorn in my side. Keep in contact with your care team and with us here and we will all do our best to support you and prevent you losing control to that extent again.

I feel ok today. I slept really good last night. I always sleep really well those first few days of fall when you can have the windows open and it’s really cool outside. Same way with the first few days of spring. I had a lot of caffeine this morning so my stomach is slightly off and my heart is pounding but I’m ok. I’m not really happy that it’s the weekend. I wish it would go faster. I have a lot of stuff to do next week that I’m anticipating. I’m just watching Three’s Company right now. Maybe I’ll put on something actually decent.
I haven’t gotten the results of my blood test yet so I assume that means that everything is alright. Those who run, when you run 3-5 miles a day how many calories do you typically eat in a day? I want to start running late October early November.

Pretty sure my pdoc has given up on me. I mean, maybe she could tell I was drunk when I was talking to her and she was just fed up (probably), but I think I've given up on me too. Doesn't help that my therapist won't return my calls to set up a session. 20 minutes every two weeks with her isn't helping, might as well quit all together while she's giving me the sign.

Don't give up on yourself... and don't let her give up on you, either. In truth, I don't think she would. I suspect you're just sensing frustration on her part. So take a step back, figure out what changes you need to make, and let her know that you're ready and willing to start over. It will be difficult, but nothing worthwhile is ever easy. Meanwhile, we here will support you as best we can. Let us know what's going on and how we can help.
