hello everyone and happy halloween!

we ended up getting 4 inches of snow yesterday. melting in the bright sun of today, but was still pretty on the trees this morning.

i had a good morning but am struggling a bit now. just trying to go through the motions as long as possible atm. i got lunch over with, so that's good. i have a zoom event later around 4:30, so i figure i'll let myself take a nap before that and just make sure i really get to the event. i don't have to stay if i don't want to, but i think i'll regret it if i just don't give it a try at all.

i spent the early part of the morning getting a few crystals and things that i want to put out under the blue moon tonight ready. they're resting in a bowl in the sunlight right now- might as well get both kinds of light radiating down on them now that they are all cleaned!

every day i have sparks of signs that things are getting better. they just haven't quite gotten there yet. and i can't keep going on about my feelings to ppl i know so much. containment is a skill i have yet to learn. i try, but i need to externalize things to process and understand them. and to feel ok. i can't just keep feelings and words all locked up in my body. it's terrible for me. but you can't go around talking about everything all the time either. it's a problem i feel i've been trying to sort out forever, with some success, but only a little and it's been very hard won. each aspect of learning to contain my emotions and thoughts and to try to work w them internally- even if through imaginary conversations with friends that just stay in my head- feels torturous for some time until i get through it and eventually it becomes a little easier/i become a little less reliant on others. it never really lasts tho. the ability to be more contained. i can just kind of force it for short periods, when i know it's time to give people around me a break.

i'd love to learn for real. this way kind of sucks. but it'll have to do for now. it's beautiful out here today, hope it's nice out for some of you too and that everyone has a little fun in their day!

Wow!!! Amazing!!! It looks incredible. You’ve worked very hard. It’s quite impressive and with a mood blip and hurt foot at that. I hope your husband appreciates all your hard work.

I am pretty tired today. I took some melatonin last night due to some SI because of the new med. I didn’t take it last night and this morning I weighed myself and I’ve put on 7 pounds since starting it Tuesday night. I refuse to be on it anymore. It was making me so angry yesterday too. I’m not going to tell my doctor or therapist I went off it. I’m tired of being honest with them and then having them freak out and majorly change things around just to make things worse than before. So I’m just going to keep this to myself.

Your house looks terrific. LOVE the floor! I grew up in a home with wood floors. A lot of work, but they are are attractive.

Snow sounds so lovely. We're still hovering around 80 in the afternoon here. That moon will be gorgeous tonight - perfect for cleansing crystals.

My sister and family just tested positive for COVID. They were very careful as my sister and brother-in-law are high risk. Mom is hysterical which isn’t helping. We hope and pray things turn out well.

I brought them in. It's supposed to rain- 100% chance- tomorrow so I don't want them wet or they really would get the carpet dirty. So they're in my living room. They'll have to stay there until the work gets done. It could be any time between Monday and Friday. I think they'll be okay as long as nobody sits in them. I wonder how I will know that they've finished the work.

Luckily the home emergency guy took some good actions and promised to have roofers come on Monday to fix the problem. He said that he will come with them to ensure proper repairs. The ceiling spots seem to be drying because of the emergency technician guy's actions (plus de-humidifier and fan). They will still need to be primered and repainted, though.

Those pictures look great! I love the finished product. Is that tree real? I've got a tree in my living room that's real - its by the sliding glass door.

I was thinking you were looking for a way to keep your floor inside clean from the furniture feet. Now I understand that Beth was offering a way to keep everything dry by draping over the top. It just takes me a while to catch up.

Haha - no, I meant spread the plastic tablecloth on the floor, then set the furniture on it. But the tarp idea is good, too!

Post punk. It's a local Siouxsie and the Banshees cover band, so you probably wouldn't know them. I've seen them once before and they do a nice job. They're younger folks, which is nice -- seeing them into the music of my "glory years", LOL.
