My friend, you will get past this serious episode. You will. The fact that you are reaching out to your doctor and other mental healthcare support is excellent. Keep reaching out to them.
Thanks for this!

Last night there was someone who kept moving in my bed like shaking but it was just me so that’s why I took the seroquel hopefully to sleep and I did sleep but the noises are still there and I’m still sensing things moving when they are NOT! I’m like that, always moving but staying still.

Cats had to go back to the vet yesterday. High blood pressure and kidney disease. They are both 16 and now have to take pills and need to ween them on a prescription k/d diet that the vet said they won't like because it tastes like cardboard. I tasted cat food before its just really salty cardboard (the dry stuff anyways). My cousin tried wet food said its better. Somethings got to give. I was SUPPOSED to make French toast with my boyfriend today but he forgot all about me I think. Good. I think he gave me herpes anyways... Oh and I got a few turns in on the five inches of solid ice. No control and lots of trees and rocks. Going to get a new touring set up, expensive but it’ll save me money in the long run and who doesn’t want to be on top of Mt. Washington in the winter?

I also have made my way into a book the doctor an IOP I used to go to wrote. “Very serious bipolar disorder....constant risk to herself and others...” but does well on medication, yeah, he only thinks that because I stop word vomiting on meds and I can keep my secrets. I wonder what they would do about my injection if I got sick? Maybe put me back on pills so I wouldn’t have to go to the clinic? I am doing very well now though. Perfect From Now On.
I'm sorry your kitties are having health problems. Is it possible to lightly coat the prescription cat food with some fishy wet stuff? Just a coating enough to mask the cardboard flavor? I had a cat in my youth, and if something tasted or smelled at all like fish, he was all for it.

I can relate to your cats. I have high blood pressure and kidney issues, too. I would assume it's treatable for them.

I think we sometimes do have to acknowledge and give ourselves credit for any level of improvements, even if we don't yet feel "quite there" in our recovery.
Thanks for this!

This morning I went for my kidney Doppler ultrasound. It was quicker than I expected and not uncomfortable at all. The woman who performed the test told me that she didn't notice any major concerns with the results, but my nephrologist will obviously make the final determination. I was quite hungry and thirsty after the test since it was completed after 11 am and I had to fast and not even drink beverages for 6 hours before.

A furnace/air conditioning repairman came to do an inspection and maintenance (at the prospective buyer's demand). He said all was just fine and will do a write up saying as much. Tomorrow, the prospective buyer has a mold remediation inspector coming to our house to see if there is mold in our attic. This prospective buyer is ULTRA picky. Even our realtor noted that. It's possible that there could be a little mold up there because of past roof leaks, but if there is, I don't expect it would be that expensive to rectify. I have a feeling the realtor doesn't want us home when this mold inspector comes. I will be out getting my hair done, but Hubby intends to stay home and keep watch. The realtor may have an argument on her hands, if she wants Hubby out. I'm staying out of that one! Hubby even wanted to be home during the general inspection, but I knew that was a no-no. I had to get our realtor to call Hubby directly to drive that fact home. Hubby is one stubborn bugger, sometimes. And then also tomorrow the stager is coming to take her stuff back. That worries us since we're still slightly catastrophising that the current buyer will back out of the deal. I fear a real estate lawyer vs. real estate lawyer situation may be possible.

Good news is that I have found a psychologist in Brno, Czech Republic. She has accepted me as a client. I responded to her acknowledgement a bit ago asking her to give me a date and time for our first session. I think even in Czech Republic they are still video/phone sessions. I asked her that. She would be covered under the public insurance we'll qualify for, but I wrote her that if there's a delay, I'm willing to pay in cash during the interim. My husband is still waiting to hear back from a prospective psychiatrist in Brno. Hopefully I can get an appointment with one quickly. I may have to wait until we get to Czech Republic. It's possible that I'll need a referral from a general practitioner there. I still need to get the GP, too.

Yeah, we are actually supposed to slowly ween them off what they get now and gradually mix more and more of the kd diet stuff in with their regular food. Vet said lots of cats never actually have 100% of their diet be the prescription food.

I felt like IOP went pretty good. But I didn’t say anything except once when promtemed by the group leader. It’s very hard for me to verbally communicate with anyone but my mom. And to just jump in is something I haven’t been able to do in a few years. I also need guidance on when it’s my turn and stuff like that. That’s why I like PC so much it’s not a verbal support forum. I really did want to say stuff and I could relate to a lot of what people were saying but it felt like my vocal chords were frozen. So many times I wanted to hit the unmute button and say something. It was difficult today but it wasn’t bad.

I have not been around. I have been battling a yet-undiagnosed illness since Sunday nov 29.

I had to get a covid test even though my symptoms do not fit typical covid symptoms and don’t seem to be following a typical timeline. My main symptoms are an unbearable headache that makes it very difficult to fall asleep even with seroquel on board, as well as general fatigue and weakness and loss of appetite/nausea. I had a little bit of aching this weekend but it wasn’t severe and stopped within a couple of days.

My only respiratory symptom is the occasional runny nose. No chest discomfort, no cough, no fever. However my school has kicked me out until I can return a negative test, which I understand. I called my doctor again because of the severity/length of the headache. She said it’s either covid or a sinus problem. She said she’s had covid patients who only present with a headache, so I guess there’s still a chance of it being covid.

Unfortunately there are no rapid tests available for those not being hospitalized for covid symptoms and the labs are backed up so it may be well into next week before I get my results. However, if I am positive, I will have been quarantined for three weeks the week of Christmas so I can still host a small gathering at my house as intended.

The doctor did give me a steroid course to help reduce swelling in my sinuses if it is indeed a sinus issue so hopefully that helps with this god awful headache.

I hope you don't have covid-19, but either way, I hope you feel better soon. It is tough for people who have annual sinus discomfort. It's gotten to the point where discomforts that people have had much of their lives bring paranoia about covid. Of course I agree it's very wise to be sure what it is, though.

It seems that some covid test results come in quicker depending on where you get the test done. My husband and I got viral covid-19 tests done at an urgent care location near where I believe you once wrote that your grandparents live. We got the tests for travel to Europe, which require the test be done (and results received) no longer than 72 hours before departure. We went both to that urgent care location and a drive-through Rite Aid Pharmacy. The urgent care center test result came back within 48 hours, but the one from Rite Aid took about four days. I do know that some are still taking about a week or so. I don't know if time lines have changed for some reason or another. We had the ones I mention back in September.

From what I've been told (by three urgent care centers near me), the results tend to be the fastest from them. When my husband and I need to get one again, before our move abroad, we'll definitely go to an urgent care center for one.

I've almost stopped going to my GP anymore, except for an annual physical. I find the urgent care centers in my state (NJ) to be wonderful. Worth the extra $20/$30 bucks in co-pay. They do much of what a hospital ER can do (i.e. xrays, stitches, and the like) without the horribleness and long wait.
Thanks for this!

No they didn't handcuff me. They didn't put me in the car either. They took my purse and looked through it and said how big it was and I said "Yeah. That's my tent". ( I'm not sure if they said anything about camping or not.) The psych ER- I don't remember much about that except they didn't hospitalize me. They let me go after not very long.

Pdoc's nurse called me today to see how I am. I knew she was calling. She asked me if I was up or down or hallucinating and if I was taking my meds. Asked if I'd been hospitalized recently for anything. Wanted to know if there was anything I wanted my pdoc to know. I said all the appropriate answers and I was taking all my meds as prescribed.

I've been irritable and can't sit still today, but I think it is calming down a bit. As such I have been very unproductive today. I made myself go to bed by around 10 last night to get a good 8 hours of sleep, but I woke up multiple times and then this morning just had a lot of sensory sensitivity and restlessness. I am really unsure of what is going on, although I can't really say this is that unusual for me. I am trying to manage on my own in healthy ways and hopefully rebalance my brain and body. Not sure when I should call my pdoc for things, as I feel like I've called him a lot recently and nothing has been like super serious or anything.

Currently looking for places in the area where I hope to get a job. I could move in with my partner, but with teleworking we'll be in each others space all day and also I don't want to do that just because I am moving back to the area, I would want it to be an intentional decision. I may stay with him for a bit if I don't find a place right away, though. I am also trying to find a new psychiatrist (and worried this will be a challenge).

Take care all!

Thanks for sharing!

I'm sorry about the sleep issues and irritability. I can relate, particularly very recently.

Its certainly a challenge to find a good psychiatrist in this area (I won't even go there....)

I have recently noticed (more) my husband's issues around personal space (or maybe it's just me... if anything is wrong in any relationship it usually is me...)

Last night someone visited our cave on business (usual issues re ''social distancing'' etc... I usually just avoid people altogether.... and this is not ''new'' ) I am unsure about.. a lot of things.

Take care

Still not sleeping well but my tolerance for mum has gotten better. Yesterday she wanted to go shopping for a humidifier. The old one gave up the ghost. She insisted on going to the hardware store. Then wanted to go to a oh I don’t know what to call it, it’s like a big box store but with an emphasis on hunting and small farm. She bought the biggest one they had and had over an hour of fun assembling it. So today she wanted out again and it takes her forever to choose things. Plus she wanted a new hand mixer. So we went back to that hunting store and she liked their mixer much better. It had more power. They checked out 5 people in the other line in the time it took mum to dig out a pen and write a check! But I’m tolerating it all much better. I’m not so 😤.

Still waiting for the thing ma dos to come. I bought extra do dads and a star for mums ceramic tree. My jeans got here yesterday, where’s the do dads? I want to surprise her with them.

Kinda confused right now. If I don’t participate in groups I’ll get in trouble. I’m just not sure how they expect someone with moderate Aspergers and probable selective mutism to do this type of group when everyone else is much higher functioning then I am.

RS’s parents had to go for a test a mere four weeks ago and had their tests back within two days. RS had his two days ago at an urgent care and he overheard someone saying they had one Saturday and we’re still awaiting result as of Wednesday. I believe it has to do with the huge increase in cases and thus more people requiring tests.

I am willing to go to urgent care for acute injuries, but not sickness. They always tell me it’s “just allergies” when in fact it’s a raging sinus infection. Usually if I go to urgent care for an illness I end up at my dr a few days later because it hasn’t improved. Could just be the particular one I go to though.

They did take care of me when I cut off the tip of my thumb though

My legs are killing me right now. They are so crampy. My lower back hurts as well. It was a bit difficult standing up straight this afternoon. and my side is really painful when I sneeze. I also only went to the bathroom once all day but had diarrhea 2 times. Not sure when any of this is considered an emergency. I ate about a thousand calories today.

My youngest nephew had Aspergers and always hated IOPs, though he had to go to them when they were still in-person. Have you ever had in-person IOPs? If so, do the video zoom type feel a little more comfortable for you?

I remember a number of people in IOPs rarely talking. I don't see that as a big problem as long as such quieter folk still derive benefit from the experience. Am I remembering correctly that you also get occasional one-on-one with a therapist? If so, is that easier?

I had my Doppler ultrasound for my kidneys today. It was a breeze and was finished much quicker than they originally said it would be.

I’ve never done IOP. Only PHP when I was in the child program in 2006 and then the adolescent program in 2011. Yeah the video sessions are alot easier. There’s no way you can gossip about anyone else or be mean like you can in person, because you have to keep your microphone on mute if your not talking. Then for break everyone signs off and just does whatever at their house for 15 minutes. I went to get my charger. My case manager said though I’d get kind of in trouble if I didn’t participate and may not be able to do the program. She didn’t say I’d be kicked out but I think that’s what she meant. Most of the time in these groups, in every group I’ve been in there are a few regulars who talk nonstop and then the others just kind of hang back. But I did feel like I got a lot out of today and I was thinking to myself “is that the behavior I’m doing?” So yeah I felt like I got stuff out of it today just by listening to other people’s experiences and the topic of the group. But I’m not sure that’s what I should be doing.

I’m glad your ultrasound was easy. Hopefully you get some answers.

They said I’m just going to be in groups and then meet with a case manager at least once a week and then a psychiatrist who may actually be my own. I thought I’d get one on one every day at least according to what my regular therapist said. But I guess not. It’s mostly groups. One on one is so much easier.

My Christmas lights on my balcony are on! Some nights, they don't turn on at all. Sometimes they go off early. I don't know how long they stay on but it's less than 5 hours after the sun goes down. it depends how much sun they get during the day - they are solar powered.

I’m done with the news. It’s tearing my sensitive soul up and causing me much anxiety. There is rarely anything positive and there appears to be fear mongering in my humble opinion. I want to stay informed but not at the expense of my peace of mind. I’ve heard such horrors about the Coronavirus that I rarely leave the house and don’t let anyone in. That’s no way to live.

I was in a good mood until I watched the news. I had anxiety and depressed mood after. I believe after I take my brother to the doctor tomorrow, I’m going to run some much needed errands. Carefully of course.

I agree re being done with the ''news'' I am almost literally ''allergic'' to it..

There was rarely anything positive in it even before that
Sh** Storm.

I did not watch the ''news'' a year ago either....

I rarely leave the house either. I do not use that word either. the ********

Neither does Papa bear. Neither of us find that using That word adds anything of value to our lives.

He is able to tolerate the TV though. Personally, I can't stand it
