no sugar no flour no potatoes no rice, or alcohol or caffeine, nor dairy.
It is pretty much the paleo diet.
This will be a big challenge for me.

Hope your shoulder blade pain decreases. I know when my husband works on my neck because I have many knots there that I get that between pain..

What is a Vibrationist? I haven't got a clue

The last 2 days have been dreary snotty weather so I haven't been out doing a now mile walk like I had gotten into the habit daily. We have a pretty garbage forcast the next week for the most part. I'll go if its just dreary but rainy? Nah not a fan even with an umbrella The ground it soft and muddy and I dont want to have to wash my shoes LOL isn't that a lame excuse??

vibrationist. is not really a name for her but I could not think of what to call her.
I laid down on a bed full of copper electrodes The bed is comfortable.
She adjusts the electrical pulses just to the point that I can't stand it.Kind of like electrical stimulation when You go to a PT and they put electrodes on you injury and crank it up just to below the most you can tolerate.
She had additional props. she thinks/treats holistically. so there are some pads that she put on my hip, 10 minutes here and there the other hip. my head and face partially. I used to have a client that believed in the healing power of vibrations. He let me try his hand held device. I could not tolerate the impulses. kind of like shock therapy. He firmly believed in the healing power of vibrations. He also had a machine that vibrates when you stand on it. AT the gym there is a vibrating machine that you stand on and it vibrates but no electrical stimulation.

Thank you so much for explaining that. Yes I am glad you did.. I have a Tens unit I got years ago from my pain clinic I was going too, That's all they would offer. Sometimes is help and other times it doesnt seem to do much of anything. It does help Steves back and shoulders most of the time. The Vibrations sound interesting.

So November first was a restart of my journey to healthy eating and weight loss and no drinking. Low carbing, higher protein, intermittent fasting.Trying to eat more salads, I had a hamburger for lunch with out the bun and a side of chard. dinner was a pork chop and left over chicken alfredo with brocolli.
Wish me luck! day 3 not drinking alcohol, I chew lots of gum.

The last time I tried abstaining it lasted 10 days then I drank.
will see how far this goes.
I am drinking a non alcoholic beer and it taste pretty good!

so today makes day 5 of dieting and I have had
4 non alcoholic beers today. They are .4% per each
one so that is a total of 1.6% of alcohol.
My favorite one is called radler. made by partake brewing company.
It has citrus flavors and it is very good. and only 35 calories a "beer".
I think I have lost 4 pounds this week so far, water weight I know.
I am not snacking and limit my portions. For lunch today,

I had a grilled shrimp fahita salad it did not need extra dressing,
the other day I had a grilled salmon salad. It was delicious!

as I am working tomorrow, have to get up at 8am.

I eat most days at a health food cafe. excellent cooks and medium price for good organic veggies and health food.
They also have some groceries and fresh produce and vitamins and supplements.
I only eat there everything else is expensive.
I worked today but had time to go with hubby jeff and friend lucus

to our place that we have gumbo every saturdays......NO GUMBO
Darn it has been colder here 50's and 40's, We have already turned on the heat for nights.
Instead of gumbo a muffaletta jeff and lucus shared, I had a cabbage salad with chef salad but had them add the green olive mixture that they use in the muffs.
Boy it was good. I took home part of my salad I did not have time to eat.

For dinner WE ate chicken patties and steamed mushrooms. I have a feeling I am going to be hungry tonight. But won't eat anything I am drinking these non alcohol drinks that have only 10 calories per can. They actually taste like real beer with so few calories. cuts the cravings.

Our next door neighbors brought us a freshly baked pecan pie. completely not on my diet. so I did not have any I asked jeff if he would freeze it when he has had what ever amount that he wanted.
I saw 4 people today. made them all happy. makes me happy!

Did I tell you that a Dr. Gupta called me and wanted to refer to me some of her clients for foot care. I said sure just give them my phone number.
I should send her some of my business cards. must remember to do that.

Well that is my report for the day/evening.

I have been having more salads lately.
My weight this morning was 193.7 So the number is decreasing, I think I lost 4 pounds this week. Water weight but still nice to see the scale go down.
I really like the partake non alcoholic beers, only 10 calories a can.
and they taste decent.
Doing laundry, and need to go to the store to get some stamps so I can do billing.
I have a months to do. so it will take me a while/hours to do that.
so I had better sign off and get stamps.

Did not feel like sausage for dinner so we went out to eat at chipotles. Had a bowl of carnitas pulled pork,onions and peppers,
pico, and hot sauce, sour cream and cheese. It was a big portion and ate it all. It was delicious.
I am drinking these non alcoholic beers and they are going down quite easily. maybe too easily.
I have had 6 which is 3% alcohol which is more than half a beer. I am thinking too hard about this half a beer.Over the course of
6 hours.
This is much better than Drinking regular beers. with so many calories and one is never enough.
I will stick to these partak brewery beers. I like the most is the radler ones with some citrus flavoring it has 35 calories.
The case has 4 flavors 3 of each one. Blonde, american pale ale, IPA, and then the radler.
I am going to have one more radler.

We made plans to get together with our friends who are also veterans. They restaurant hop to get free meals for veterans day. I swung by texas road house for a coupon for a free meal. and we went to bj brew house for dinner with them. It was really nice we had not seen brian for 5-6 months. I get together with melissa about once a month to go to lunch.
tonight I drank 3 partakes before dinner and then drank 2 heinikens 0.0 with dinner finishing up at 7:30 the time that I said I would not drink after.
The 0.0 have zero amount of alcohol but 69 calories that is 140 calories plus the partaks 30 x3 equals 90 calories. 230 calories for 5 beers less than one drink that I used to drink.
I am still following my guidelines.
That is what is important, to have control of my drinking behaviors.
enough about that.

jeff had a mini pizza, brian had chicken alfredo and melissa had parmesan cheese encrusted chicken, brocoli and mashed potatoes.She hardly ate any of it nor did brian. They both took home 3/4 of their meals jeff finished his pizza and I took home 3 thighs out of six and they had a spicy butter sauce it was very good. They were headed for wild buffalo wings for their free wings lol.

I am getting ready to go to bed have my night time routine that takes me 20-30 minutes to do then take my meds and go to sleep.

I need to get off of the computer.....

Saw 4 clients today, had a shrimp salad for lunch and left over chicken thighs for dinner. well it was a successful day..Bizis new October 2021 thread.
Found the envelopes that I needed for billing with out asking for help, at the store. Drove to total wine to get more partak.
Got a 6 pack of dark and one of IPA. If I stick to 3 a night then that will last me into the next week tuesday.

Came home to put things away then decided that I would go to planet fitness

and ride the bike on high resistance level 20 I could only

do 5 minutes into it for my thighs gave out on me.
But that is what I wanted, to build up strength in my thigh muscles.
They are so weak.

Then went to the tread mill and called my brother in law. (to talk and walk).
I ended up walking about 30 minutes including a cool down. 1.3 miles.
They close early on friday nights at 9pm saturday and sunday they close at 7pm Monday thru thursday until 10pm

It is a start.
I was hot coming home so got into my nite dress

and am drinking a diet ginger beer with a kick!

The computer stop working so I looked at the power strip
and one of the cords was unplugged. so plugged it back in and the computer is back in business.
Love it when things work out, I am not computer savvy.

I took a shower this morning and washed my hair!!!!Bizis new October 2021 thread.

Jeff had practice for an up and coming performance with the faculty jazz band. They play during jazz week, next week. He is out with a friend, paul for a quick beer, after rehearsal.

I work tomorrow. I think I have 3 clients. Jeff has 2 gigs this weekend, one is tomorrow from 630pm til 930pm at an upscale restaurant called ruffinos then sunday he is playing for brunch at a restaurant called Bon Temps or something like that, from 11-2pm.

That interferes with our brunch at the diner, maybe I will just go with out him.
This is my 12th night with out alcohol and I am down about 9 pounds in 2 months..
better quit as no one wants to read a journal.

191.7 this morning yay! 9 pounds lost....

slept pretty good got up before the alarm.
jeff just got back from whole foods because we are out of coffee.
With help, He picked up the last 2 bags of organic espresso beans that we like.
coffee is the most pesticide use this is why we drink the organic.
have a great weekend, I work today.
but I am only seeing 3 one is out of town at a rehab,

assisted living, nursing home.

Well I came home from work after voting. and drank all 3 partaks NA beer.in an hour and a half.I want to have another one but that would go against my 3 limit.
So I switched it up to a zevia creamy root beer that is sweetened with stevia (sweeter from a plant) so no calories there and chewing gum.
I had 12 ounces of chicken chilli that I made a few nights ago. It was still good.My eating time is almost up Intermittent fasting. I eat during an 8 hour window then fast the rest of 16 hours.
That means no breakfast that is normal for me. no snacking which is difficult to do cause Jeff snacks.but I am determined to lose weight.and remain AF as well.

today jeff had a gig at a restaurant, Bon temps.

I came and had Brunch there.
It was a delicious grilled shrimp salad that had the thickest bacon more like chunks of pork.

There was already some kind of dressing a lite maybe just bacon fat.
So I did not use any of the dressing that it came with on the side...

They had virgin bloody marys on sale $3.00 a drink so I ended up having 3.

no alcohol at brunch! a victory!It was an expensive brunch but I wanted to support Jeff and the guys.

they laughed at me for leaving during jeffs solo,

gave jeff a hard time about it. He said he was used to that.
now I feel badly about that.

At least I came. $including tip brunch total

was $31 dollars ouch!
doing laundry now, thinking about doing some

more billing before it gets to be too many.
I have 25 bills to send for the first 2 weeks in november.

I finished the billing!!!!
had 3 NA"beers"Then asked my husband if I switched to

heinekin 0.0
no alcohol at all but 69 calories.

he said that would be fine. before 7;30 the witching hour.
I went to the store to pick up some more partake dark and ipa.
so I am all prepared for the week.
Went to the grocery store to pick up kitty litter
(which was 20 pounds and heavy!) and montreal steak seasoning,
lime juice, and parmesan cheese.

So it was after 730pm when I got home, so I missed my
opportunity to have another "beer". so that is good I am

able to stick to my limits.
The exlax certainly did its thing I feel so much better.
Talked to my twin she called and we got caught up.

She is hosting thanks giving this year and mom and dad
are coming down. They are going to their time share in march.
So she is trying to be normal. After you fall and break your back
I think she is thankful that she is alive.
It was a good conversation with Gretchen. (My twin)
I am going to get ready for bed and watch an episode
of seinfeld before hitting the hay.

took a shower and washed my hair today.
Do you know that I have an aversion to showering.
I have to force myself to take a shower. Some times it is a week, usually it is when My hair needs washing about 5 days.

Good news today the scale said a 10 pound weight loss in 2 months. I should look and see how much I have lost since the 1st of november: 7 pounds in 16 days. I have been eating a ton of salads.tonight for dinner we had pork chops and mixed carrots and corn and soy beans (edemami) all starchy veggies so I only ate half of them. I only chewed on my pork chop bone and not jeffs too.
That is the first time in a while that I have done those 2 things.

I am a little peckish, usually when I chew gum that takes care of the urge to eat after dinner. This I will make me some sleepy time tea.
As it is getting to be late but I don't want to drink too much liquids,
don't want to have to get up all night to pee.

16days Alcohol free.
