This sounds weird, but do you know that the lower the Seroquel dose the more it is likely to help with sleep? So while 50mg might not help, 25mg could. Just my experience.

I've heard that, but oddly that hasn't been my experience. I was running 10Ks on 300mg but literally fell asleep at a Home Depot on 900mg (Both XR version). 50 got me a broken 5 hours of sleep, but 100mg has me getting 8-10 hours a night.

Not recently. I did in the hospital and still stayed up all night.

If I had to graph the sedation levels of seroquel in general for myself I'd say it's f(x)=a(x-25)^(1/3)
edit: Domain being x>0, where a is any integer greater than 1 because sedation is relative.

I was the same way with Seroquel. By the time I stopped it to go on Clozaril I was requiring 1500 mg to sleep. It wasn't working for anything by that time so it was clearly time to stop. But I never was tired on low doses except for maybe a day or two when my dose was increased when I was titrated up to a therapeutic dose. I was on 900-1200 mg for years and that was required to sleep as much as control other symptoms.

I just remembered that when I was on the higher doses I broke one XR tablet making it IR. Somehow the combination worked better for me.
I also remember being IP and given IR at night the first day. I slept so well but it only lasted one night and then I had them put me back on XR. That one night was nice though.

Therapy/DBT went well today. Even though I'm in a mild depressive state right now, I was actually able to focus and participate. We did the wise mind thing. I still don't understand how to use rational mind/emotion mind at the same time, but she gave me some skills to work on it and I think some of them will be very helpful with my impulsivity.
The STOP and some of the wise-mind skills helped prevent me from binging/purging just now. I just hope I can continue this for the rest of the night.

That sounds excellent, Boots. I think I understand Wise Mind, but putting it into practice is another thing. Sometimes I find it easy...sometimes, not at all. I will read about STOP. It all sounds like potentially helpful techniques.

I think I actually diverted a depressive episode. Over the weekend I was pretty low, but after some pretty intensive self care this week I've been feeling much better.
My hike this morning

I have an interview for the dollar store tomorrow (PT) and I have not been able to stop binging/purging today.

I have a question for you guys. Do I ever give off BPD vibes?
Someone on my ACT team brought it up last week and I've been wondering. I do relate to a lot of listed symptoms but then again I have (C?)PTSD, substance use disorder, and schizoaffective bipolar type (and probably an eating disorder). I know you guys don't know me irl but I am pretty honest on here so maybe it's an even better perspective?

You are very impulsive but with your recent drug usage I’d be reluctant to say any diagnosis. There’s a very fine hard to distinguish line between bpd and cptsd. But DBT works for both. And anyway I’m not a professional so my guesses are just that, guesses. Just from drug users I’ve known in life the longer they are clean the more stable and less diagnosis they have. Some of them have told me that they stopped maturing when they started using and didn’t grow up until they stopped using and that their previous diagnosis was just immaturity. So who’s to say?

Yeah, I know it doesn't really matter since I'm getting sober and doing DBT anyways. I was just curious
--- Earned a modest amount of money today, I start training Wednesday.

![]() I'm not sure if you ever give off BPD vibes, maybe a bit sometimes. I also think there's a fine line between BPD and CPTSD (probably). How's the DBT going? ![]()

Addiction vibes, yes, and that's different than anything else (other "diagnoses"). I have much experience with addicts. PTSD? 100%. The mood/psychosis ones, those are the diagnoses that would need to be seen irl (or if you told us here) because I can't tell whether they're substance involved or not.

Until properly medicated and stable they shouldn't be doing personality testing. If DBT helps great. I've been told several times I had a personality disorder. Usually right before they give up on me. Currently I don't have a personality disorder label. It's all neatly tucked under SZA. If just face value I'd fit the criteria of BPD but I feel only a full evaluation can tell. And it depends on the biased of the Dr. I was told by a couple of Drs. I think things through to much to be bipolar or Sza. I hope you find the treatments that work best for you wether it is Sza or BPD.

I don't have a DSM5 but the 4th edition said that you couldn't diagnose things if the symptoms were better accounted for by addiction. I'm sure that remains in the DSM and so it's not possible for someone to diagnose you right now.
I think the best thing you can do (and it's hard) is to focus on the DBT and how well you are doing the last weeks (month? I don't have a good sense of time) managing everything and see that you are making progress. That's the important thing regardless of diagnosis.

It wasn't my first real day, just filling out I9s and W4s and such. It went okay but there was an issue with the computer that stalled us for a bit. I start training tomorrow.

Of course my first real day and there's gonna be a snowstorm. My car wasn't made for snow.

Driving wasn't much of an issue since there wasn't a lot of snow (and I got mad skillz). The actual work kinda ****ing sucks though, and they trust me with a box cutter which I'm a little uncomfortable with given my history of hiding in corners with knives ready to attack anyone that comes close. I honestly don't think I'll be able to handle actually going in to work for 5 hours a week 3-4 times a week, but I'll give it a shot and see if I can acclimate.
