Anxiety and being unorganized go hand in hand. As a jumping off point we look at how one therapist sees the relationship between anxiety and disorder and how they aim to treat anxiety. http://forums.psychcentral.com/chat-...st5108069.html

[We] are constantly bombarded with daily tasks that range from minuscule to epic. On any given day, [we] must juggle family, work, and any number of social activities. And if [we] respond to these activities in a haphazardly way, you can be sure that [our] anxiety and stress levels will soar through the roof.

Hope to see you at Anxiety Support Chat on Friday night at 8PM EDT.

This week I came across an article on healing the inner child. We have been through so much growing up. We have been through so much all our life. Many of my anxieties stem from the hurts and wounds of the inner child.
http://psychcentral.com/blog/archive...y-inner-child/
and
http://psychcentral.com/blog/archive...r-inner-child/

Let us explore this week in Anxiety Support Chat how much we can heal the inner child and live our lives more fully. Hope to see you there.

Place: Chat Room, look for room entitled Anxiety Support Chat
Time: 8PM EDT
Bring: You and an open mind

Last chat someone asked about the connection of gluten to anxiety. Gluten is not a problem in everyone but some people feel much worse after taking foods with gluten like wheat products. It is not an automatic no to all gluten foods, but the question is how do I feel after I eat gluten and what does my doctor say about my sensitivity to gluten?

This week Anxiety Chat is at 8PM EDT and we will jump off from the following articles. The Gluten-Mood Connection | Therapy Soup

Depressed? It May Be Celiac Disease | Psych Central

Hope to see you there. For new members please have 5 approved posts or more so you can access the chat area.

Hi there. Thought this article might be a jumping off point to discuss the lies our parents and teachers told us. They could not have helped us except to be confused. Here is the article. 4 Lies Your Unloving Mother Told You (and You Probably Believed) | Knotted: The Mother-Daughter Relationship

So Anxiety Chat is 8PM-9PM EDT in the Chatroom of the same name. Hope to see you there.

Hi there. I want to thank John25 in advance for covering chat for me on Friday night so I can spend a couple days with my family.

We are having the open mic night so to speak with moderated chat where people share what is going on in their life rather than picking out a topic as the focal point.

In the last year, what new challenges have you experienced in your depression / anxiety?
What positive steps have you seen work for you to make you feel better?
What challenges started or still remain?

Hope you all enjoy this change of pace in Anxiety Support Chat on Friday night at 8PM EDT in the chatroom and hope to see you all at the end of July for another chat!

Okay let's do something different during Anxiety chat. There will be a guided relaxation video that you can listen to if you wish. We will also discuss Phone Apps for improving our moods. Here is an article if you want to read more about it. SmartPhone App Improves Mood | Psych Central News

So come on down to anxiety and share your high tech ways to lift your mood. Or some not some high tech ways as well.

Hope to see you in Anxiety Support Chat on Friday at 8PM EDT.

News Alerts: Sedentary behavior (watching TV, doing computer, etc) can be hazardous to your health. Get up every hour and walk to the bathroom, the refrigerator to get carrot sticks (that is healthy you know ) in other words keep the blood circulating.

I have some family challenges that are making it difficult for me to do my normal routines. This will affect my hosting Anxiety and Depression Chat for at least one week so Oct 7th and 8th chats are cancelled, and may be cancelled for longer. I will post a notice when I return or have more details.

Some people have expressed interest in having chat meet while I am away, so keep eyes on Anxiety and Depression forum for announcements and details.
