Gus, thank you for the lovely pics!

Thank you for the very good advice, Cake. I'll try to write things down in case I panic and don't remember what I need to tell them.

Christina, how are you? Here are lots of hugs for you.

Liz, I will surely miss you but I understand when you're too exhausted to boot up the computer. You are in my thoughts every day.

Kiya, I haven't forgotten you.

Love to all and I hope I didn't forget anyone.

So I had an MRI on my back. It showed a couple bulging discs and spinal stenosis (L4/L5). Had another shot Thursday, but having some other health issues that are causing pain, so I can't quite tell how much good it's done.

Hi everyone. Checking in. Went back to work yesterday and am so frustrated. Am tired and sore. It's weird. I can work like a stevedore around the farm while on vacation and just have normal sore muscle pain. Go back to work, sit at a desk and hurt like a female dog. I'm trying to get up and move around every hour or so, but still hurt.

Am not posting much tonight because I'm in a pissy mood. Read some posts and so wanted to tell the poster to grow the F up. I figure I'd get myself in trouble though.

Jan, writing things down before you go to the doctor is a good idea. Stress tends to wipe our memory. If it's written down you don't have to remember it.

Gus, thank you for the lovely pictures.

Christina, your life makes me think of a saying I came up with corrupting a well known saying "Some times when it rains it really shytes on us."

Childofchaos, I have a friend who had a similar problem. Surgery helped her tremendously.

Cake, take care okay?

Kyia, how are you doing?

I've missed a ton of people. I hope everyone is doing okay.

((((Liz, Jan)))) I'm doing all right. Learning to live in this wind tunnel (a/c plus 6 fans).
Had another X-ray on my foot today. The dr won't consider arthritis because I'm too young at 40, despite my toes and fingers aching and stiffening. She also said I have another 10 years until that's just part of aging. Serious?
I wanted to talk to her about other autoimmune diseases but she seemed pretty closed off. I've read there's now a blood test for fibro... I doubt she'd do it - she wouldn't even test my inflammation levels or confirm the fluid in my foot *because it matches the other foot*.
It was the walk in clinic that found the fluid. Smh.

Anywho, another day. Love you all!!

Just wanted to pop in and say Im still hanging on. I think part of me is just in plain shock maybe?

Im so angry about it all. I know there was nothing I could have done to stop things from happening.

I want to forgive this person.. but I just cant at this point. Maybe that makes me a horrible person. But I sit here on my computer and look up to see her bedroom door and the horror of that day is screaming at me. I will never get past finding her and having to clean up the aftermath.

I dont have to ability to ask how everyone is doing by name. Know I love you all and to please be kind to yourself.

Christina, I just want to wrap you up in big hugs, or just sit quietly with you if that's what you need instead.
I'm so sorry, my friend.

Child, I have spinal problems, too and I can tell you that the shots in your spine really help after about a week. I hope you feel better and I'm sad that you are hurting so much.

Gus, thank you for the picture and the sentiment and also for the thread.

Kiya, can you go to another Dr? That one sounds like she's way off plumb.

Cake, where are you? I miss you.

Liz, I'm so sorry that you are in such pain at work. Can you perhaps get special pillows to use in your chair? Thank you for the good advice. I love lists! Without them, I wouldn't know anything at all.

I'm going to the rhuemy today. I have a list made out for her. I'm going to ask for a shot in my thigh and maybe my shoulder. I have several things I need to discuss with her.

I love you all.

Kiya, "too young" for arthritis is bullpoopy! I started developing arthritis in my knew in my teens! And it is not "part of aging." Some folks develop it, some don't. After a lifetime spent riding horses and all the physical work that goes with caring for them I have arthritis in most of my major joints. I sound like a bowl of Rice Crispies getting out of bed in the morning. I found Biofreeze applied to a joint helps. Actually, I buy the Wal-Mart version of Biofreeze. Heat on the joints helps. I took a chondroitin supplement for awhile, but it stopped working after awhile. From talking to others that's apparently fairly common.

Just a heads up, I am going to be away from the computer for a day or two. Doesn't mean I fell off the face of the planet, just no computer access.

Be as well as you can everyone!

That is all...

Hmph, I've been having stomach issues and had to have some testing done yesterday. Bit the main thing that sucks right now is the only thing (and I do mean only, other than gabapentin) I can take for pain is Tylenol. Can I just die now, please?

Wow, those pics are magnificent, Gus!!! Thank you.

Child, I hope your pain goes down, soon.

I'm glad you're back, Liz.

I went to the rheumy. My medicine has quit working, including the methotrexate. She can't increase anything until I come back and see her after the surgery. I did get two cortisone shots. The one in my shoulder joint hurt like the dickens, but it has given me some relief. I'm really glad for that.

I love you all.

So I see my pain doc tomorrow. Follow up for the last shot I had. He said if that shot didn't work, the next option would be minimally invasive outpatient surgery.

My main concern right now is the level of pain... so I wanted to ask a question... he doesn't prescribe narcotics because I have a history of addiction, but my pain level is unbearable at this point. I'm talking I would rather be dead than be in this much pain. I just don't know if I should tell him that... the pain is bringing me to tears, making me gasp for air, and nearly making me collapse, all daily. I can't keep going like this.

i don't know your doc, Child, but my experience has been that if you tell one that you are thinking of ending it all,, they will not prescribe a med that might be useful in that way... best to tell them what they need to hear, i find....
