I started wondering why I hurt so much when I'm at work (mostly sitting at a desk) and have less pain when home doing things around the farm. Started hurting today so I got up and went for a brisk walk. It seemed to help. I'm still exhausted, but not hurting so much. Am gonna try to make sure I go for a walk a couple of times a day if I'm stuck at my desk, see if it helps.

Ladies, I need to vent. This has nothing to do with fibro. It has to do with work. I am so GD pissed off right now I can hardly see straight. I found out this afternoon, from someone I trust to be telling the truth, that a representative of another agency in our area is going around trash talking the agency I work for. She says we don't know what we are doing and are incompetent.
I am the only counselor for our agency in the county where I work! So she's effectively saying I am incompetent and I don't know what I'm doing. I'm a licensed mental health counselor in my state! NONE of her friggin' staff are licensed. Who the h e l l does she think she is running her big fat mouth!!!!!
This is the second month in a row she has gone to a community meeting and trash talked us. I plan to get myself invited to the meeting next month. I will politely and professionally tell her to kiss my arse! I e-mailed my supervisor and his boss to let them know what she dais. I suggested that one of them might want to contact her supervisor and tell them to stop.

I am a mellow, laid-back sort of person most of the time, but there is a raging redneck b i t c h who lives inside me when my work is insulted. If you want to piss me off big time say I'm not doing my job or I'm not good at my job. I'm good. I know I'm good. I don't go around tooting my own horn. I just do my job and do it well. But jeez-o-pete don't insult my competence.

I am so sorry Liz. People get ideas in there heads that they are always right and everyone else is wrong. It's so wrong.

I got bad news today. My lupus forum that I have been on for 10 years is going away. The lupus foundation of America needs the money for something else. The moderator and I are friends and he gave me a heads up. They are going to have a nonprofit set something up but these people don't know lupus or a lot of them the moderators have a god complex.

I am hurt, scard and pretty pissed off

Pain was so bad for me this week, it had me taking a hard look at the aspirin bottle... I'm stronger than that, I have to remind myself. I got through. It sucked and everything else (including or especially DBT) got put on hold.
One "good" moment was laying back in my papasan chair, watching the sky... trees.... clouds. Distancing myself from my pain for a little while.
Monday brought pain to the therapy table and I didn't realize how much emotion I was holding until it all came out. I've been with this t since January so she doesn't know that side of me- well, she does now.

I care so much about you all, my friends, I'm sorry you hurt so much.

(actually, hummers don't sleep either~! technically, they hibernate at night with their heart rate and breathing dropping to just above terminal, like bears... imagine how long a day and a night are to hummers~! )

Cake, yay for McGhee! Belle is working on catching her first fly. She's too short to do it!

I have found a motel that will allow me to bring Belle. I am so relieved. My friend will watch her while I'm in with the Dr. We are missing the big football rush. That is also very good news.

@Liz I am sooooo very sorry you are being treated this way. Like you I am pretty laid back which when I was able to work was to my advantage because my boss was/is Irish and has the temper to go with it so when something didn't add up right or there was a problem. Lord the potty mouth she said and she was loud. I would calm behind her look at the paperwork or whatever this issue was find the problem show her and she would calm down.

I THOUGHT I had read your complete post but after reading Jan's I went back and reread your post. You should not be treated like that and unless that person who is criticizing you has walked in YOUR shoes and has YOUR knowledge then she needs to sit her Happy butt down and keep her mouth shut. Or I could send MCGee over and let him take care of her

@Jan I am very glad you found a hotel that will allow Belle to stay with you. She will get her fly yet. McGee hunts all the time but until the mouse all he ever caught was spiders he likes spiders

((((( all ))))) I am thru the week long flair. I think that's the worst it's been. Working on making changes... More water, less toffee, more organic, less gluten and dairy, less processed foods. Things I "shoulda already done" but didn't until the end signs read "wheelchair" if I don't make change NOW. Here's to another chance.

I'm so sorry you are having such a rough time.

Kiya, I'm so sorry you are in such pain, too. Wheelchair thoughts - now that's scary.

I noticed just today that I was walking like my Mommaw did. Now I know why.

I leave on the 8th. My appt is at 9:00 a.m. on the 9th. I have no idea if the Dr. will put me in the hospital, do outpatient tests or what. Knowing Belle will be fine makes it better.

Tomorrow we have a severe heat warning. I was going to go run errands, but I think I might wait. I don't need the van to overheat. It hasn't yet, but I haven't driven it in such hot weather. All of you take care and try to stay as cool as you can.

Cake, what about starting a social group here at PC for folks with lupus? You could invite some of your friends from your lupus board to move over here.

I talked with my bosses yesterday. I am going to attend the August meeting of the group where this person has been trashing talking our agency. If she continues after that they will deal with the situation. I can still get myself worked up thinking about it, but at least I have a game plan now.

Jan, I'm glad Belle will be able to travel with you. Good luck with the tests.

Gus, thank you for the holly hocks. My adopted Mommaw from across the road grew them in all colors. I had a dream about them just the other night. They were so beautiful and I thank you so much for bringing this bit of wonder back to me.

I will talk to a few if them. Not sure what they will do. Our forum is not has heavily monitored had this one. We got away with a lot of stuff that you would not be able to get away with here.

Our moderator a sweet but he had a lot of other things to do. I would email him if there was a problem then he would go on and respond or delete post. We also got a lot of Internet trolls. It's been hard on the forum. I had one troll say to my" Hey cakelady go lick yourself". We found out that it was a guy passing himself off has a female and he/she did not have lupus but went around to different forum claiming that they had this or that diease. Moderators talk and. Our moderator found out this information and banned the IP address
