just before dawn on Thursday this week, on the western horizon, there will be a total eclipse of the 2nd Full Moon in January, making it the first time since 1866 that all 3 have happened at the same time~! Enjoy~!

Thanks for the news about the moon. I thought it was supposed to be tonight. Looked at the moon and thought "looks like a regular full moon." I'm up before dawn, but not very functional. I'll see if I can drag myself outside to look at it.

My husband was an amatuer asstronomer. He would've made me stay awake all night watching infinitesimal changes.

Various body stuff has me holding a pity party. Arthritis in my hands makes doing anything difficult. Allergies are acting up. Same symptoms as a cold without the fever. CFS is kicking my butt. I slept most of the weekend and am still tired. Ad let us not forget fibro which just makes me feel like shyte.

Gonna wander off and feel sorry for myself.....

Hi Friends,

Gus, thank you for that wonderful cake! It's so beautiful! I am now plenty-one!

I haven't written because I have no energy to sit up again. I'm working on trying to find out why.

I scanned each post. I send much love to each of you and hope you feel better very soon.

Gus, that picture in flames was awesome. Thank you!

Belle is having a little bit of tummy troubles again, but all in all she's doing well. She likes her winter coat. It's pink with white around the edges. Someday I'll be able to afford a camera so I can share pictures of her with you.

I love you all!

Hi everyone- miss you all. In week 6 of a shoulder impingement that hurts like a you know what. PT yesterday had me in tears. Adding insult to injury, I forgot to wash the ultrasound gel and massage cream off... 5 hours later I put a lidocaine patch on and a few hours later had a chemical burn

I never thought I’d be at a point where 2 events per day would be too much... alas. Logging into here is a 3rd thing too many for all the editing I have to do on this small phone screen.
Always with you all in spirit.
Hugs!

I posted awhile back about my reaction to all the talk of sexual harassment/ abuse in the news. I asked Doc John for permission to start a blog here at Psych Central. I created it here:

Liz's Lair

So far there's not much there except a "hello" post. I'm still sorting out how the whole thing works.

Emotionally I've come a long way since I first posted my reaction to the news. Back then I was falling apart. Old demons were lose. I felt like I was falling apart. Now I'm full of anger - not at myself, at my abusers. At every last single S O B who ever hurt another person. Hmm, this is not the place to vent that. I wanted to invite all of you to visit my new lair.

Moved back the 15 th , was sick with asthmatic bronchitis before we left Florida. So settling back in being so sick has been difficult to say the least. Was put on Steroids and that never plays well with my Bipolar , I feel so bad for my husband I have been terribly snappy and mean

I finally feel like I’m getting back to normal , least I can breathe now.

Had my Mammogram if there was anything in there they would pop it because they have you so flat and in a vice ( eye roll) and Labs done today.

I can’t get into see a Rhuematologist til April !!! But it is what it is... my GP has no problem refilling my Lyrica, not sure it helps but too scared to stop it lol. I did stop the sulfasalazine, and not sure it really was helping. The next step is biologics .... will have to really research those to see if the risk is worth it.

There’s my update.

Roll call ?????

I will try to keep up on everyone here, I feel so bad when I can’t but when I’m hurting it’s hard for me type about it , make sense?

Gentle hugs to all

I need to have the sonagram one done next go around. This mammo really hurt , still hurting tbh. My mother and both grandmothers had Breast cancer and my grandmothers both died from it. I get mammograms twice a year just due to family history, but yes smooshed flat is just more pain to add to my day.

On a happy note my NP called today and was not pleased with my waiting til April for rheumatologist appt and got me in on Monday. Yay !

I’m hopefully this Doctor will believe in Fibro and not brush it off like others in my past have done. I also have PsA which I have proof of at least, terrible to be happy about having a provable illness.

I guess I need to spend time researching the biologics this weekend as I expected to have more time.

None of the oral meds have offered PsA relief, Otezla for scalp psoriasis has worked wonders, but I will have to stop that to take a biologic, I’m not sure what to do , hopefully this Doctor will be a good one and take time to discuss options and pro/cons.

I love that bunny !!! Looks very huggable

(((Christina))))
Good call, Gus, on the sonogram. I join the band wagon of:
Abuse
Flashbacks
Panic
Found a possible lump that I have to have examined
TERRIFIED
Also terrified to have it examined
Plus they started pushing for mammograms last year (40) and this year are really pushing it.
Add DID to the mix, fight/flight, and having one internal kid that bites and one that’s a runner with a squished body part and I’m thinking this is not a good thing. Especially with new stress responses of catatonia and pseudo seizures.
Yike.
So I am also glad to know there might be another alternative if needed.
My appointment is Thursday.
Did I mention I’m terrified?
More hugs, Christina.
And (((((hugs)))) to Liz.

Thank you for the pics, Gus. I love that Bunny!
(I'm hugging it.)

Kiya, I wish I could go with you, Thurs. By all means, insist on the easy kind of mammogram.

Christina, there is a shampoo that the dermatologist gave me for my psoriasis. It's Ketaconazole. That's a close spelling. It works well.

I don't know how a blog works either, but I'm going to read yours, Liz.

I think my depression meds need to be increased. I have no energy at all and I'm sleeping the day away except for a few hours. I'm too tired to do anything.

Belle definitely does not like her socks. Her feet get so cold on this floor and I went ahead and put them on her. She didn't like them at all, but I left them on for a while hoping she'd adjust. She looked like a cat being forced to walk in water. I found her on the bed, shaking. She had managed to take one off by herself and she gave it a good chewing! So, I had mercy and took them all off her.

I love you all.

Jan, this is going to sound weird, but have you tried telling Belle the socks are to keep her feet warm? I swear they understand more than we think.

Kiya, can you have an internal dialogue with alters and ask they let someone who can cope with the mammo deal with it? That used to work for me sometimes.

For those interested in the blog. There's nothing to it. Click on the link I posted. It will take you to my posts. So far there is only a short one saying hello.

Has anyone heard from Cake? She hasn't posted in a long time. Am worried about her.

Kiya .. thank you for the hugs much appreciated!! I agree , see if you can have an alter that can handle the appt be present, I know a couple people that can manage there alters to a slight degree maybe more.

Jan......Belle is so lucky to have you !!!!! Yes socks take some time to adjust too, I had a pup once that loathed them so bad I had to just give up... lil guy did ok cold feet and all lol he was a hoot ! I have that shampoo and a liquid solution to use if need be , but if I go forward with treatment for PsA I have to stop the Otezla and honestly even using the shampoo and liquid daily I still scratched til I bled and looked like a dog with mange ...psoriasis and the arthritis that can go along with is ridiculous.

Liz I will try and get on your blog to help support you maybe it doesn’t work right since I am on my phone using Tapatalk ?? I know I can’t give hugs , just thanks. I just don’t have the energy to pull out my laptop to be honest. It hurts more to type on that than sit here using my phone.

Tomorrow I see new Rheumatologist early am then T at 3 .

I think I am becoming obsessed with wanting to make one of the big chunky throws that you use your arms to do it. I just want one so bad, YouTube shows me how but I imagine it to be much harder lol I think the problem will be how much the material will cost. Oh well it’s okay to have a dream.

Gus !! All your pictures bring me joy ! You find the best ones!!!!

I am also very worried about Cake I do hope she is okay

Gentle hugs everyone
