Saw my pdoc yesterday. Gawd I love that man. He is so good at what he does. We came up with a gameplan. If I continue to keep falling apart I'm going to seek out a therapist with experience with abuse survivors. If I still keep falling apart he and I are going to take a look at my meds. It helps to have a plan.

I've also decided I'm either going to post in the abuse forum about what happened or start a blog. It will help me to say what happened and have people "witness" it.

I'm trying to view all this as a good thing in that I'm going to stop suppressing what happened.

Meanwhile fibro and CFS continue to kick my butt.

A Warm Hello to All!

I thought I could keep up with this forum when I'd started participating here. It seems I am having difficulty keeping up. I do still like to try by stopping in when I can, reading and leaving hugs.

Liz, I think it will serve you well to find a way to process any abuse you've encountered. I am deeply sorry you have a reason to do so. I do know some from experience. I hope you find healing.

Gus, thanks for the continued lovely pictures!

Fooze, thanks for the new thread.

I am in a lot of pain lately. It's complicated by a few conditions. I will see my rheumy Friday to discuss biologics. I am afraid to start them, so we'll see.

Love to All!

pain got really bad this afternoon

ended up just lying back in my chair trying to relax and I think it worked for a bit

well... until it came back

add the fact I feel sick from the fact I had out of date food for dinner (need to do some grocery shopping)

Folks, I wanted to tell you I might not be very visible on the forums for awhile. I am emotionally VERY fragile right now. I'm finding I'm not coping well with a whole lot of stuff right now. Maybe it's burying my head in the sand, but I consider protecting myself.

Hugs to all.

Gus, I really love the fireplace scene.

Saw my pain doc today... my back has been hurting since the surgery, so he re-ran labs (rheum panal) since it had been about 2 yrs. I was in for some shots in my shoulders, but the nurse practitioner gave me the lab results while I was there.

My rheumatoid factor was elevated and the TSH was elevated also. Both were normal last time. So now. I'm trying not to freak out, and I have a referral for a rheumatologist.

The one he would like me to see won't work money wise right now. (I owe the clinic money and would have to set up a payment plan just to make an appt.) So I got the name of a friend's rheumatologist, and I'm gonna try to get my doc to write the referral for him instead.

But I have to wait til Monday to call them and then with the holidays... ugh...

I keep trying to just tell myself if it is rheumatoid, then meds might actually help my pain cuz then they know why everything's hurting like this still. If it's not, well I'm already in this spot of pain and not knowing so I'm used to it.

It's just scary...

It can be very scary and very frustrating. Try to take it step-by-step. I hope this gets sorted out and you can become much more comfortable soon.
You deserve lots of self-compassion.

Have been in a lot of pain. (Fibro., Psoriatic Arthritis, etc.)
Saw rheumy and we are deciding on a biologic, probably Enbrel. (Trying to work this out with insurer.) Done with methotrexate.

Have lots of memories surfacing due to (triggered by) recent headlines of so much sexual abuse-- assaults, harassment, etc. Memories get easier to deal with as I age. Lots of disturbed sleep right now, too. (Started a thread on this in the PTSD forum, if anyone wants to join in there.)

We are all human. We all endure a lot.

Much Love to All.
